  1. 39% shooting, 4 freaking assists. That's just plain damn brutal. Too much dribbling, not enough movement off the ball, no ball movement. If I see another guy on defense get caught watching the ball and losing their man, I am going to lose my mind. How many shots did they miss within 5 feet of the basket today? I was really concerned by some of the body language I saw today. OK, now that I am through my rant, the Zips are playing some kids that wouldn't be seeing major minutes, if any, if they weren't so thin. They lost to a better team. I just hate to see them do things that help that happen.
  2. News flash- the Zips are getting beaten by a significantly better team. They are also contributing to the thumping.
  3. Well, Malcolm woke up.
  4. Nice start to the second half. At this rate, I will be on time for snack time.
  5. NWAkron's queezy feeling is on the verge of transitioning into projectile vomiting.
  6. The quick start was a mirage...
  7. The refs will miss 3:00 snack time at the assisted living facility.
  8. Really fed up with the refs always delaying the game to go to the monitor.
  9. You can tell by all of the posts on this thread how excitement for this game is building.
  10. GT comes through with some worthwhile info.
  11. That was in an email I got from the ticket office. A similar version is on GoZips.com.
  12. The Rockets are 15-2 overall and 7-2 in the MAC. They lead the MAC West by 2 games. The Rockets lost Tuesday night to Ball State, ending a 7 game win streak. They had just beaten BG 101-75 where they were lights out, shooting 67% from the field. Against Ball State they were outrebounded 58-41, (19-7 offensive) in a 75-63 loss. They were without Willie Jackson, the 6-6 sophomore Missouri transfer (shoulder) from Garfield Heights. They were 7-for-27 on 3-pointers. 6-7 G/F Colorado transfer TreShaun Fltecher leads the Rockets at 18.6 ppg with Jaelan Sanford kicking in 16.5 ppg. Fletcher also leads rebounding at 8.5 rpg.
  13. ...and the more they lose, the worse the officiating becomes... Funny how that works.
  14. I haven't seen anything negative from this team attributable to the coaching staff thus far. I'm not ready to anoint them as the end all be all as it is way to early to do that. Conversely, it is too early to do the opposite and criticize them. The jury's still out. If at this time next year, with the transfers on the roster and another year recruiting, the team is still struggling, my criticism will come, but right now it is way too early.
  15. It pains me to say it, but right now their best chance is at BG. Otherwise, we may have an o-fer.
  16. Here's a photo of the t-shirt- Just kidding. Wouldn't that be precious.
  17. I deserve a much nicer arena for the $120 a year I spend for 2 season tickets.
  18. And on the other end, they now seem to have to go to the monitors for everything...
  19. The 15-7 Toledo Rockets come into the JAR Saturday to face the Zips. The Rockets are led by...awww screw it. Just show up and watch the game. I'm still surly from Ball State and Miami...
  20. I hate to whine about refs and usually try to avoid it. Games are generally won by the players and coaches, not lost by the refs. That being said, MAC officiating has been awful and inconsistent. To put it in the simplest of terms, a half-assed conference is likely to have half-assed officiating.
  21. This game is giving me the cheesesteak rumble.
  22. Sometimes a shooter has to shoot himself out of a slump. Unfortunately, they'll be down 40 by the time he does.
  23. Well, this went to $h!+ in a big hurry.
  24. Good start!
