I say it's about time we started considering other alternatives to a one bid conference where half of the schools make no effort to put out a reasonable basketball program. I wasn't that discouraged by the UAB loss. I was discouraged some by the performance down the stretch but overall they competed with a team with similar talent. If, however, this ends up being a Morgan State or St. Francis type game, ......ugh.

He's a guy who can work a room. He was a name to some extent, having had MAC success and coming from the Big 10. He's intense, personable and outgoing, and those attributes get people to follow him, whether it's playing basketball or writing checks.

I think we all wish that for JoMo. We're just frustrated with the lack of progress.

I'd be curious to see how Eddie George relates to the kids and gets the credibility. I suspect the awards and rings are the key as they'd have no idea who he was coming through the door as he played before most of them were born. As for donors and NIL, I suspect JoMo is not the guy to work a room to whip up support from wealthy donors. I've overused the comparison but we have a basketball coach who is that guy.
