Exactly. That's why I started it, to whip up some preseason conversation. I've also heard Eric was really good in last year's preseason.

I'm really starting to get excited about the upcoming season. I assume Tavari and Amani are locked into the starting lineup. I suspect we may see Stankovic in the starting lineup (just like I expected Taylor Currie!). I've also heard he's closer to 6'6" than 6'8." That leaves spots for 2 guards/wings. I could see either Mahaffey in one of those roles. Does Sharon move into the starting lineup or does Shammah? This is much more fun than trying to figure out who's going to play with Malcolm Duvivier and Jimond. How far we've come.

The email went out about the Tip-Off Reception on the 28th at 6:00 p.m. $25 for season ticket holders, $40 for everyone else.

I get that. I was referencing Joe's consistently good attitude and ability to forge forward regardless of the situation. Joe's the best.

To summarize the positives from the presser: 1. They had only 3 penalties 2. The placekicking was good 3. They got peeled so badly that some young guys got game experience If Joe Dunn ever gives up this sports gig he has a real future as a funeral director.

Does Shammah move into the starting lineup? I love him as the 6th man as he's able to play point or the 2 with no drop-off.

Unless Bowman expanded his offense to include an ability beyond being a long range shooter and improved his defense, I could see him having less of a role on this year's team given its current composition.

And back to my original point, I don't understand the logic of maintaining a persistently bad football program for the sake of the basketball program. Okay, back to football. ZipsNation is re-entering the Groundhog Day zone.

My issue is not entirely about the one bid conference issue. It's more about the demands of a conference that does not serve us well.

I'm not suggesting that there's a perfect conference for UA sports. I'm proposing that a conference that makes demands that are inconsistent with UA's needs may not be a good home, or needs to change to become a better home for its schools. That's even more true with the current direction of college athletics.
