  1. I thought they were done when they went down 6.
  2. Our Zips showed some heart tonight! Nice job Zips.
  3. ...as the seasons swirls down the ...
  4. Let's go Zips. Time for a run
  5. No, Antino is a third year junior. You may be thinking about Aron Jackson who had a redshirt season.
  6. Good luck to him. I think he's Kay Felder without the overall skills, but I wish him well as his success would be good for the MAC.
  7. Yes it is. I am in a nationwide bracket competition and the opening games dropped me to 4th place (out of 5 competitors).
  8. Unfortunately, scientific studies have conclusively established that drug dealers and other criminals are generally better basketball players than altar boys and honor roll students.
  9. Damn, that Cal loss completely ruined my NIT bracket.
  10. Shhhhhhhhhh, I have them in my bracket and I am trying to keep them a secret!
  11. $60 for a season GA ticket to 15 games. It isn't getting more reasonable than that. Also, as much as we'd like to see more people at the JAR, UA is consistently in the top third in MAC attendance.
  12. I don't think the KD detractors realize that the only reason for their complaints is the level of expectation KD has brought to the Zips program. There weren't discussions like this when Dan Hipsher was recruiting division 2 level players to UA (including his own kids). The program was mired in mediocrity and we had no expectations, happy to be occasionally competitive. Now, based upon KD's hard work, we've been to the summit of the MAC and want more. We're not having these discussions without the KD based success. Changing course from the guy that's brought the program here is more likely to set it back rather than further the success. Don't get me wrong. I'm the guy in the bleachers smarter than the coaches and I whine about bad defense on dribble penetration and all of the other faults we beat to death on here, but to jump ship here or make major changes would be the NCAA basketball equivalent of the the New Coke.
  13. Maybe they can get an equity line on that empty behemoth of a football stadium.
  14. I guess we have to count ourselves in the minority- those who give a $h!+ about UA basketball. Sigh.
  15. Do you think some of that could improve with a new conference? I agree the MAC is competitive with respect to parity, but I think the quality of play is questionable in the eyes of the national basketball observers.
  16. A 7 seed in the NIT for the regular season champ of the MAC is a strong sign of the respect the college basketball world has for the Tuesday night football playing, poorly officiated, ESPN kowtowing, Mid-American Conference. Rant over.
  17. I think the successor is the current Director of Basketball Operations.
  18. Well, good for the Texas kids. They get to their home state twice this year. Who knows, maybe it helps us to continue to recruit well down there.
  19. Sure, a 58 year old coach would chomp at the bit to uproot his life and family to relocate to coach a 7 win team. Makes all the sense in the world. Mayne they got it wrong and they're chasing Dru Joyce.
  20. Easy Skip. It was a joke and an expression of disappointment.
  21. I am relishing the opportunity for the Zips to prove they're the 69th best team in the country.
  22. Also, let's not forget, the players have a role in this. I don't think KD and his coaching staff are going to stop a kid from taking a leadership role or showing a little fire.
  23. Stupid? That's a little strong. I'm confident that they were evaluating, changing and attempting to correct, but if you watched the Zips in the last two or three weeks, I can't see how anyone could see success in many of those corrections. Kwan's drop off is an example of that failure.
