Another issue created by the 9:00 p.m. game time is that many of the GA regulars are resistant to paying the $10 parking fee for the deck and have been parking and walking in from other places in and around campus. That feels much better from a safety perspective and 6:30 and 9 than it does at 8:30 and 11.

Amen. The job of a guy like Groce is now more difficult than ever. You still need to work those high school lines to bring freshmen to the program. While you're doing that you have to foster relationships with kids you won't get just in case they have the potential to come back to you at some point in the portal. All the while, you have to work to manage the minutes and egos on your roster to make sure your better kids don't enter the portal. While you're doing that, you're often helping your struggling players find a new home. Throw in monitoring the hundreds of kids in the portal, sorting through them and recruiting those that might help your program. Along the way you're dealing with kids and parents whose perception has been distorted by the AAU culture. God bless John Groce.

Zips will need to get on the boards to help out Enrique Friday night. Agee is a good rebounder. Towns has been out injured but if he's back he can rebound. The 7 footer Spurgin has also been rebounding at a decent pace. Enrique is tearing it up on the glass but no one else on the team is averaging more that 3.8 boards a game.

The OU fans are becoming restless with Boals. I really thought he was a good hire for them but they have not come back around as expected.

Assuming you mean guard Tavari Johnson, he only played 2 minutes against NIU and 1 minute against St. B. Tough to make an assessment based upon that. Scott was certainly solid against NIU.

Nope. He's Groce's favorite and most trusted player. I could see him moving over to SG and Ali going to one of the forward positions and displacing someone, but Tribble stays in the starting 5.

The 10-3 Bowling Green Falcons come to the JAR Friday for a late 9:00 game, fresh off a close win over Eastern. 6'5" junior guard Justin Hill is averaging 20.3 ppg to lead BG scoring. 6'0' senior guard Trey Thomas has averaged 12.1 ppg over 7 games. 6'8" senior forward Rashaun Agee is averaging 11.1 ppg and 8.3 rpg. Bowling Green was predicted to finish 6th in the MAC preseason poll. No Falcon was named to the preseason teams. They have won eight games in a row.
