I'm hoping that Groce can find a big with soft hands. That always seems to be an issue for us over the years. I think back to Riak and how good he would have been if only he had great hands.

Well, last night's games really shook things up!

I'm not talking about the motivational speaker, I'm talking about Coach Delattiboudere.

I like this guy, he gets it. He knows what he wants and is passionate about it!

I agree. Both coaches did a great job defensively by taking away a lot of the other team's strengths.

Aside from Freeman fouling out which was my biggest fear going into the game, I wish Ali would have actually shown up to play. That really hurt us bad.

Also, we compete in the PTC (Portage Trail Conference) because most of the schools somewhat similar in size are in Portage County, not Summit. Although many of the City Series schools have gotten a lot smaller over the years, they are still much larger in student population than Mogadore. @clarkwgriswoldyou are correct that most of Mogadore is technically in Portage County, however more students of those living at a "Mogadore" mailing address go to Field High School and Lake High School.

I loved watching "Cricket" McLaughlin play as well as all the Huggins teams over the years. I still remember being up by 1 at the half over Ohio State in Columbus in the NIT Tournament. If I remember correctly we had a steal and a dunk at the buzzer to take that lead. McLaughlin got hurt in the second half and that was all she wrote.

Sounds like my daughter's high school coach. She loves to call a time out and kill our own moment and get the other team back into the game. I can't even tell you how many games we've lost because of it.

We've lost plenty of games over the years due to sub-par kicking, so I am all for having a bunch of kickers on this roster.

There is a new OT in the portal as of 2/7 from Pitt. Michael Statham 6'6" 300 lbs. Seems to fit the mold of what we have been bringing in this year.

Yes, this is a really good class even in a normal recruiting timeframe, but considering the short amount of time they have had to recruit, it's really amazing! Can't wait to see future recruiting classes and finally see the product on the field for the next several years!
