Just think. Beginning next season we will be hearing much less about all the LeBron ties. The only tie-in will be with KD, which won't come up nearly as much. Even though it has become annoying to us, I think that it did help the program's recognition nationally.

Winthrop (13) At-large chances suddenly plausible I'd like to see that become reality for sure. I like the first and possible second round matchups! And the location couldn't be much better either.

Both look great! Taylor Hill shows he can shed blockers at will and run most people down. McCarthy is quick and can break tackles very well for a QB.

I agree with what you mentioned Z-P. I like that we can change constantly throughout the game depending on what is happening. Our great depth allows us to do this pretty easily compared to other teams. I also like tha fact that we can play with anyone in the paint and can hit three's with the best of them. My concern is free throws. We seem to be doing better lately, but I am afraid that this is the area that will eventually end our season.

We need to look at getting more matchups with the other top mid major programs. Butler, Creighton, Old Dominion, Pepperdine, Penn, Charlotte, Gonzaga, etc. Teams that have a recognizable name and have had some recent success in March Madness.

Does anyone know if we have any OOC teams scheduled for next year yet? Hopefully we will have higher ranked teams for next year. We can't keep playing the Tiffin's and St Francis' of the world anymore!

This is probably good for us. There are a couple other position coaches that need upgraded as well.

That article sounds typical of the refs these days, not only in the MAC and other college sporting events, but also at the youth and high school levels. Had a similar situation happen to my son's team. It's ridiculous.

The Rubber Bowl is getting pretty shabby, but I would still rather play there for a couple more years than in some of the stadiums others have. Many of them are glorified High School stadiums. One that comes to mind is BG.

The Austin Peay name is great for coming up with good cheers, but I remember the days when we played Morehead State. That offered the ultimate in great humorous cheers!

If the Gov's have a similar style of play to Toledo then we will have a close game. If not, we win by 9+ points. I don't see anyone coming to the JAR and winning right now outside of a top 15 team.

I hope you're right timmyboy, but I have a feeling he may take a step back this season primarily because the rest of the MAC will be ready for him this year. He was unknown last year and came out of nowhere basically.

LOL. No. I just had experience with them in the past and haven't used them in over 5 years. Although, I've heard that when cable goes down now the digital phone system and internet do as well.
