  1. BZip_08Temple can get home games of that caliber because they play at Lincoln Financial Field. The Philadelphia Eagles home field.
  2. I don't believe it is going to be televised in the Akron/Cleveland area.
  3. The bad news is another conference, Colonial, is making a move past the MAC further limiting additional bids for us. Last year they had George Mason, the VCU win adds more credibility to them.
  4. As soon as I saw Stanford in the tourney the other day I new it was BS. They suck.
  5. Definitely bring back the high step hard swinging style. This walking around crap is boring. Don't worry about the music majors. If they can't handle that style I guess they can pick a different major. Play hard!!!!!!!
  6. It doesn't matter cause Can't STATES gonna own the AK-NOT Zippers next year. You guys are never gonna put a team out on the court like this again. GO Can't
  7. One division makes sense for basketball. I'm all for it in basketball. We have an end of season tournamement which is based on both divisions playing one another with no consideration of division. In football the divisions matter because the top of the east plays the top of the west. So winning an East division title or a West division title means something in football, but really doesn't mean much in basketball.
  8. Boyages indicates that currently the MAC is in regular contact with the NCAA Tournament Selection committee. "We have a primary and secondary contact from the NCAA Selection Committee that is assigned to our conference," he explains. "We are in constant communication with them with conference calls, we update them personally and notify them of good wins or close losses to top teams and we encourage them to attend our games in person." That is my favorite part of the article. Sounds like they need to push these "primary and secondary contacts" a lot harder because whatever they are saying to them now obviously isn't working!
  9. It sure makes the excitement of beating Can't 3 times in one season wasted.
  10. Unfortunately the ones who Do like us Don't matter!
  11. ...and please cut down on the turnovers. We have been sloppy lately.
  12. The other key is to flat out be more physical than Can't. Wood is a true enforcer. Is it just me or have you noticed that he is starting to become the leader of this team? That's good news because Wood will be "the man" next year.
  13. I know where you're coming from zen. I've had the same things, plus broken bones. Playing through it has a lot to do with what tendons or bones are affected, how severe the injury is and what is on the line at the time. Make no mistake, Dials and Linhart will not be at 100%, but I believe they can still play.
  14. I know, we're playing Can't... what's your point ? at least Tiffin doesn't suck !
  15. Hey IflushedU. When's the last time Can't beat Akron in basketball?
  16. We won't lose tonight. Mark it down.
  17. We're not playing Tiffin here. Everything is on the line from here on out and there is plenty of off-season coming up to rest any ankles, thumbs or whatever! Everyone will be playing if we truely want to become
  18. Ankle sprain, shmankle sprain. He will play.
  19. I'm with you sgm405 and K-Roo.As long as they are talking about "Akron" it's all good!
  20. We shut down Watson, we stop CMU.Akron 81 CMU 64
  21. I see that Charlie Coles from Miami (OH) is on the coaches panel. Could it be that he didn't vote for us anymore after they beat us?
  22. Hopefully Swiech and Steward will be solid top performing starters for the 2008 season. That would give us 3 well established starters (including Linhart) and Brett McKnight as well. It will be critical that we have a solid recruiting class next year.
  23. Does anyone find this surprising? Can't seems to have a lot of rejects and trouble makers.
  24. Blue&Gold observered: "I would say he is definitely a long shot for a WR position on our football team. That's one of our deepest positions."Actually his odds of making the football team as a wide receiver are better than his odds of becoming an FBI agent with a Criminal Justice degree (apologies to Trimmy10, I know it should be a degree in Criminal Justice).
