Is this really Emeka's brother? I would say he is definitely a long shot for a WR position on our football team. That's one of our deepest positions. I wonder why he didn't mention trying to play for our basketball team.
It's too bad that their basketball program is staying in the A10 though. I would like to have them in the MAC also. They have been a much better basketball program than football.
I think we look flat. Players seem to be going through the motions currently with the exception of Romeo and I don't think we have any momentum right now. I think we had a lot of momentum until the Toledo loss and since then we've been up and down.
Since Linhart is out now we will see more bench players getting longer minutes. Now KD will have to use them more. I guess this is one way to get the bench out on the floor more.
That's bad news for Nate. This will turn out to be good for the team though. Now it is time for the bench guys to show us why they are on the team. We've been second guessing a lot of them most of the season. Let's see what they can do. It's crunch time now. Time to step up. We will see some of our future starters for next year getting extended minutes.
Just think. Beginning next season we will be hearing much less about all the LeBron ties. The only tie-in will be with KD, which won't come up nearly as much. Even though it has become annoying to us, I think that it did help the program's recognition nationally.
"I was there also and Anthony Buford almost kept us in the game singlehandedly. He was one of the best athletes and pure shooters we ever had. Imagine if Huggins had stayed, we would have a few of the famous UC alumni as our players."Buford had the big slam dunk to end the first half and quiet the OSU fans. It was beautiful! :bow:When Huggins left who was the player that transferred to UC? I remember him being pretty good, but I forget his name at the moment.
"Would you rather have either of those guys or the Cricket on the floor? My answer is the Cricket, no question."Eric was great!I remember when we played Ohio State in the NIT his senior season. I was at the game. We had the lead at the half. He got hurt and then that was the end of that!
At Buffalo 4. Virginia (7) Lofty ACC record reason for big jump 13. Akron (NS) Zips are in for first time this season 5. Vanderbilt (8) Knocking off Florida counts for something 12. Winthrop (13) At-large chances suddenly plausible I'd like to see that become reality for sure. I like the first and possible second round matchups! And the location couldn't be much better either.
It always makes me happy when the Dolphins are on TV because I like when the players say what college they attended. I love hearing Jason Taylor say The University of Akron!
"Looking at the teams ahead of us, I think it is the highest we will get for the whole season."I disagree. If we can keep winning I believe we can jump over Appalachian State and possibly Davidson. #5 is not out of the question.
I agree with what you mentioned Z-P. I like that we can change constantly throughout the game depending on what is happening. Our great depth allows us to do this pretty easily compared to other teams. I also like tha fact that we can play with anyone in the paint and can hit three's with the best of them. My concern is free throws. We seem to be doing better lately, but I am afraid that this is the area that will eventually end our season.
We need to look at getting more matchups with the other top mid major programs. Butler, Creighton, Old Dominion, Pepperdine, Penn, Charlotte, Gonzaga, etc. Teams that have a recognizable name and have had some recent success in March Madness.
Does anyone know if we have any OOC teams scheduled for next year yet? Hopefully we will have higher ranked teams for next year. We can't keep playing the Tiffin's and St Francis' of the world anymore!
