  1. just left the Info. sat in our season ticket seats..pissed in the urinal...they are still working...oh...third on the Founders Plaque for innaugural season ticket Purchasers...alphabetical order and all that...see ya in the 'morrow..
  2. CMU...12th rated passing offense in DI last year...i suppose since this guy is so overrated the Zips should handle them up there on the 27th?
  3. i'll be brief....my comments unlike previous years will be few....each week we will see- for a win and- for a loss...at the end of the year if there are more than we will all be happy...especially JD... didn't see much yesterday that looked a lot different from last year...finally if the Zips go 1-3 in september which is possible, the 'Info effect' will wear off very quickly...hope to see you at the Info on Saturdayweek 1-
  4. "Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to sufferThe slings and arrows of outrageous fortune"If you're going to quote a 16th century bisexual adulterer, you might as well do it right. the old bard would appreciate that...
  5. ...whether 'tis nobler to bear the slings and arrows...
  6. No. They spread it out over a couple days. The earlier you donate and longer you've been a season ticket holder, the earlier your selection.6-10-09? Lee Adams must be a cheapskate? what can i say,me and everyone who selects after me...just workin' stiffs... rumor has it that since I have been such a critic JD has made sure that I get my pick of tickets...restroom,northeast concourse...stalls 1 and 2...and these ones HAVE doors...wonder if thats obstructed view...?
  7. Are you implying a stadium expansion or that no one will care when we keep putting up 5-7 records every year?oh,oh here we go....
  8. No. They spread it out over a couple days. The earlier you donate and longer you've been a season ticket holder, the earlier your selection.6-10-09? Lee Adams must be a cheapskate? what can i say,me and everyone who selects after me...just workin' stiffs...
  9. nice to see the leader on that 2005 team making it...
  10. I'm starting to see your angle...maybe we could add a catchy marketing line like:"Browns Fans - If you liked Ken Dorsey, you'll love this guy!" Or maybe "Jacquemaine for Heisemaine"?Or "The Best QB in the MAC...Until the 4th Quarter"Or - "Not Walt Harris' Fault"If you don't like slogans, just make certain to have a giant Matt Rodgers Fat Head ready by about week #5.No way you pin your marketing hopes on Jacquemaine. That's like basing your retirement on winning the Power Ball.wow, thats tough..thought i was critical...nothing like winning i guess..
  11. not in akron, ohio
  12. lots of people didn't play who HOPEFULLY will be ready in august...AA,Diamond Weaver,Bain...Bruney is intriguing...if they can get some mileage out of AA,Bruney will be a great change of pace...small,quick...a garrett wolf type back...
  13. Lee, I don't understand the tone of your post. Why the "rolled eyes" before mentioning the Ursuline player? And why can't you mention his name? I hope I can. For everyone else, the player's name is Allen Jones. He is listed by Rivals as 5-10, 197 with a 4.49 40. He was the starting tailback on Ursuline's state championship team last fall.Allen Jones because the kid/family has some bigger irons in the fire than Akron and up until the last couple of weeks,Akron had shown very, very little interest according to the family... they don't want to mess up anything...all of a sudden he is on the sidelines at the spring game...he knows AA and Bruney...he is a solid citizen...he is a big strong kid with some speed..the Zips staff needs to put on a full court press...he is going to visit illinois and b.g....
  14. there's a kid at ursuline who will be a senior this year...can't mention his name..he's a RB who is getting serious looks from illinois, penn state,bg...his sister is at Uof A on a track scholly...look for him...he is interested in U of A but if they don't hurry....
  15. actually i want to see AA but i know he won't play...i want to find out how close he is...
  16. we seem to, every year talk about the same things...my biggest beef with JD is that he has not been able to adjust his thinking to the 'talent' he has available...if he has the players to run a 3-3-5 run it...he hasn't had that the last few years...same thing on the offensive side...he stays too long with players who can't play 'his' schemes with the players he has available...anyway, here's hoping there are enough 'backers to do what the new d-coord wants or is told to do...i still want to see a 'straight' 4-3 with a true safety who can headhunt...nobody is talking about that...Bryan Williams was played out of position all year last year...he can make it at the next level as a true safety...check the workout results...
  17. anybody know how AA is doing? ...ready for the opener? he is the key to the offense...
  18. here is hoping that unless somebody offers more than the pissants did for edwards that the browns keep him...nothing against hixon but if someone can screw edward's head on straight he has a lot of upside that hixon doesn't..dominic is a good system player...just not the browns system...i'm hoping that since the winslow fungus is gone, edwards will either latch on to a better 'mentor' or play his ass off for a new contract...
  19. so...what about the defense!?...is the JC coming in going to play the corner? who are the safeties going to be?...is Fleming's kid going to play?...the D will determine how far this team goes...anybody got anything?
  20. That's another thing. KD isn't half as colorful as Tony. I remember an Akron City cop telling me about the time he pulled Tony over driving on High Street late one night (or early one morning). The cop took a look at Tony's companion and asked Tony if he knew the name of the person sitting next to him. Tony replied, "Sure, that's Linda." The cop recognized the individual from previous brushes with the law and said, "No, Tony that's Frank." i went to the games at memorial hall from around '68 on...when Wyatt Webb was there and the Zips were a real force in the 'college' division memorable hall was PACKED...when they played Kentucky Weslayan,Philadelphia Textile,Gannon,Evansville etc etc...that was a pit...no team wanted to play there...
  21. i don't normally get on the b.ball site...but...the ZIPS showed a lot last night....if i am KD i am on the phone to gonzaga and trying to set up a contract for regular season games...i'd go for a 2-1-2...go to skeedaddle next year...as long as they agree to come here the following year...then go back to skeeedaddle the third year...the way the ZIPS played these guys they could start a rivalry that would put butts in the seats..the ZIPS should only improve the next 3 years...the confidence this program should get should carry over for a while...
  22. all i'd say is that its some instant credibility for the program...i'm sure walt didn't need the money...
