I'm sorry, but there is just no way that JD is coming out of this without taking at least some of the blame. It's his ship. He's the captain. When the ship starts taking on water people are inevitably going to start looking at the captain. There is just no way that he's coming out of this unscathed. Especially with a new AD and the massive investment that the University just put into the program.on point..the new sheriff in town...er AD did NOT come here to put up with this and won't...he has no allegiance to the staff nor should he...hell he is not going to shoot himself in the foot by taking on somebody else's mess...unless brookhart et al perform a heretofore unseen miracle we will likely get to start all over again next year...

i hope it has not taken people this long to figure out that Bowser is a real talent...seemed fairly apparent last year... too bad ol' brookhart thought he didn''t need anymore receiving talent and moved one of the better ones to defense...j.bruce may be a nice kid...leaves a lot to be desired down field...

Look folks, CMU is WAY beyond Akron...if this is close?...doesn't matter for JD though he HAS to WIN..

I can't help but agree. When I was driving through Mentor the other day, I recall commenting to my wife how amazing it is that all of the houses are mansions, the streets are paved with gold, and diamonds grow on trees. Truly the beverly Hills of NE Ohio.And I also must agree that if your parents do have money, regardless of who you are, surely they would hand it over when you told them your pot supply was running low. I have friends in college that you wouldnt have any idea that they come from wealthy families. Do you think rich people get rich by spending money wildly? Alot of them try to teach their kids that by not giving them loads of cash to spend as allowances and a few of my friends were like that. You would never have guessed they lived in million dollar houses in Bath because their parents let them be college kids like college kids should. They ate Ramen noodles daily and drank cheap beer.So who knows if Jacq is from a rich family or not, either way it doesnt matter.I think you guys are missing the point.....maybe I'm wrong though and Jacq did grow up on the mean streets of Mentor. You never really know....you need to get out more

What the hell does the Valley Conference mean?They play in the Football Championship Series. Or is their football league called the "Gateway Conference"? In any case, its a league for schools that really don't care about football. Did Proenza waste $65M for a stadium when this school can't draw 20,000 for a Big Ten opponent? no! thats why brookhart won't be here unless he wins 7 and gets to a bowl...

face it its only going to get worse..the INFO effect wore off even fatser than i expected...can you imagine how small the crowds will be in november when the weather is bad and the record...well...face it no wins no butts in the seats...brookhart has to win 7 this year...the new AD has no loyalty to him,nor should he...they didn't build a $60million stadium to have brookhart go 4-8 or 5-7 every year...he has already turned off a big chunk of the fan base..

week one- week two- week three- ... between starting a 'green' qb and the offensive coaches, Montgomery/Harris/Brookhart et al not putting those kids in a position to succeed there was no chance...and IU ain't that good...thats the scum of the 'large 11'...has the music for the brookhart 'last dance started?...if this thing gets turned around i will be back here to say i was wrong...but as far as week 4 in Mt Pleasant... seems appropriate already...

:blink: i have never been a jacquemain fan...getting STUPID before the program's biggest game since 2005 shows his lack of character..the rest of the team knew it all along...they NEVER got behind HIM...what a way to go into the defining game for the program...BS to you jacquemain and to the people who allowed it to go on...

with Alex looking shaky and Shuford looking well...like not much.. and Martin hurt.... Nate Burney needs to get carries..he is quick,can be a change of pace..Akron has no backfield speed w/o Nate..they MUST run..iu has enough on the d-line to huury CJ or Rodgers into bad decisions...
