  2. GO AA...
  3. CJ will only be able to MANAGE a game...he has to have a good ground game which we had on Saturday(was at the 'DOME) and good receivers and plenty of time to throw...he doesn't WANT to run even when he should and locks on 1 receiver...he is better when he doesn't need to think...reacts...throws quickly...no I'm not CONVINCED....TESTICLE TECH will be the real test...they are head and shoulders beyond the 'cuse athletically and will force CJ to 'win' the game...the O-LINE needs to be over the top this week...
  4. was at the GAME in the 'cuse...the DOME is hotter'n' hell cuz they have to pump warm air in to keep the baggie inflated...probably talked to some of you guys...guy behind us had a #2 ZIPS jersey...anyway we ...me and my ladyfriend yelled ourselves hoarse...ALEX ALLEN...from now on AA, IS A HORSE!!!!...give him the balll!...CJ is still a work in progress...if JD gets it on the offensive side he runs first...lets CJ try to manage the game from there..the LEFT side of the O-line was tremendous!...ran there ALL day...Andre Jones is the best WR on the field...whenever the'cuse brought up the safeties he was open...the D? they made a couple plays late but if this isn't the 'cuse this isn't a win because of the D...bad tackling...missed assignments in the secondary... couldn't cover the tight end and YES, couldn't stop the run...hope the O can put up 4 TD's every week....Armory SQ in th 'Cuse was great..Empire Brewing Co, Blue Tusk...stoped at the wineries in Geneva on the way back...great trip...look out here comes testicle tech...
  5. You would feel very safe saying that, as your opinion. On a case by case basis, when you are speaking in reference to an american citizen who was not convicted of a crime, then when you say you feel they were guilty, you are stating your opinion... legally, they are innocent regardless of how you feel.Yeah, that's my opinion, based on 24 years of courtroom experience.BTW, there's a specific proceeding in which an acquitted defendant can get a declaration of innocence, usually for the purpose of collecting damages from the state. Sam Shepard's son tried that route a few years ago and failed. I'm sure we both hope that Devoe has no further legal troubles and has a productive career at UA and beyond. after working 33 years in parole and probation, i agree...most 'criminals' are never covicted of most of the crimes the DO commit and most crimes either don't get reported or never make it to Court...torrence? think what you want but be sure he did something he should not have done..
  6. i'd love to say i believe in the ZIPS right now but...NOPE...this is one of those classic set ups where the pitiful home team finally decides to 'win one for the gipper', looks at the ZIPS as a patsy and WINS...unfortunately...too many loose ends on our side to win on the road...i'll be at the DOME anyway...
  7. maybe ARMY...not cincy...win in the MAC...too much on D too phyisical for the ZIPS
  8. If my aunt had a d***, she would be my uncle. you made a great point in a rather 'down to earth' way but made it none the less...whats the one thing JD keeps saying its hard to recruit in th MAC...D-LINEMEN...he has complained for years...but he keeps saying you need good D-LINEMEN to play that damn 3-3-5...so lets stop saying IF and either change the scheme or get some D-LINEMEN!
  9. you are right about Tuzze...they have been better the last 2 years when he is on the field..JD better figure out this offense will HAVE to run to control the ball 'cuz his D is going to give it up on the ground... use the strength on offense..the OLINE nad the backs...
  10. look...its not just today that the D gave up big yards on the ground...its been that way for several years now...if wisc. gets 400+, teams like cant,ou,temple...will surely get 150 to 200...no good...if as some say the players are better then its the scheme and the coaching...on the brighter side the receivers weren't bad...Johnson and Allen should put Kennedy on the bench where he belongs...CJ?...not convinced yet...
  11. got the Syracuse tickets i ordered here...they are in the damn end zone... i could have gotten better tickets going to the SU website...at 36.000/per thats crap!
  12. Whether you meant JD should be gone if he loses, but Rhoades won't. Or if you actually feel he deserves to be around. Think about this...Out of 4 years, JD has made us Bowl Eligible for Two and won us a MAC Championsip. That is more then Faust and Owens managed to do in 18 years. Not to mention it is more success then the program has seen in probably 30 years. It was the MAC Championship that spurred the donations. The hope that the Zips could be successful. Oh sure, someone will say, well it's been on the table for a long time, and the previous AD laid all the ground work, etc. The fact is without that MAC Championship they would still be having trouble finding a way to make people believe they are going to get any value out of donating for naming rights. So yeah, I kind of think you give JD a little more then 2 bad seasons (each of which were filled with injuries and youth). 3 bad seasons?
  13.  i ordered some tickets for this but have not gotten them yet...anybody else?
  14. ditto that...got a spot on a wall all picked out...
  15. speaking of BEER...next time any of you get to Phoenix get to the FOUR PEAKS BREWERY in tempe...just down the street from ASU...i've been to the Gordon Biersch in Tempe...i've been to Great Lakes...FOUR PEAKS has the best beer...i like Hop Knot and the best food at the best prices ANYWHERE...its in a converted Borden Dairy...oh ya...the 'co-eds' at ASU tend to be well, you know...all that SUN,FRESH AIR,DESERT CLIMATE...now what were we talking about?
  16. got my season tickets today..they still haven't sent any confirmation about next year's tickets..there's some good discount coupons with the tickets...Azteca...oil changes....9-13-08...can't wait
  17. I would imagine it would come down to Rasor's dry cleaning bill too. Fans here should make suggestions on what Rasor should ask JD the next time he gets to interview him. something thats never been asked before!
  18. in the real estate business its, location,location,location...in football its, talent talent,talent...IF there is character, character, character
  19. back to Torrence...i hope this guy figures it out...remember...he was acquitted...not because he did not have sex with a TWELVE year old, but because the issue of 'consent'(even though 12 year olds can't legally give consent) came up and because as would be expected anytime you have to rly on a 12 year old things get real crazy..i deal with sex offenders in my line of work...the lack of maturity on the part of the adult is the ONLY issue here...the adult is responsible for making the decisions...if this is an indication of his abilities in that area we will be hearing from him again...hopefully his brain got rewired in a hurry...
  20. while QB play must improve...IF the O-line plays up to its apparent capabilities...and the running backs are as good as advertised, the key to the season will be the DEFENSE...AGAIN, IF the defense can come together quickly...the front 6-7 appear solid, the secondary will be the key here...if the offense doesn't have to score a ton of points and can play some ball control for a change, they might be OK...put CJ in situations where he can take care of the ball and not have to be THE playmaker, the offense will do...hell miami got to the MAC Championship last year with a QB who couldn't find his buttcheeks with both hands...the D will be the key...6-6 JD keeps his job...otherwise....
  21. well...as some of us said a couple of months ago, this will probably be an all or nothing for the ZIPS...either JD and his boys will show they can coach and pull the team together with a 6-6 and win the division OR as happens too often when you bring in a bunch of new, unknown, individuals who are not a team you get a bunch of new, unknown individuals on the field...not a team... a guy i work with lives near JD way out on the west side...talks to him...JD is telling him talent is there...but doesn't know if they can pull it together...have to keep Johnson out of trouble and hope CJ gets his head out of...you know whereare they selling Syracuse tickets here yet? see ya at the DOME!
  22. a concealed carry allows you to carry in your car..the moron who shot the officer had previously violated the concealed carry law and should have had the permit revoked...he went out and bought the gun he used to execute(3 to the head) the police officer AFTER he violated the concealed carry law...by the way the concealed carry REQUIRES that you announce the fact that you have the gun if a cop stops you..got no problem if you want to keep a gun at home...LEARN HOW TO USE IT>>>LEARN HOW TO STORE IT and hope when that guy breaks in in the middle of the night you have enough wits about you to get to it...and use it properly...you will be surprised how hard that is for you people who have litt;e or no formal training...thats most of you! Please, don't throw around phrases like "Statistically, guns in homes that ARE used are used against "loved" ones 90% of the time and not against intruders or home invaders." I know a LOT of people, even before I started target shooting, who had guns in the home, and you know what? They used them, and they weren't against people! That is simply ridiculous! The key point here is EDUCATION! Just like driving a car, people should be properly educated as to how to use, store, and care for a firearm. RESPONSIBILITY PEOPLE!!!! The idiots who keep the guns around the house in such a manner that their kids can get to them makes me crazy! I'm not going to go into a prolonged rant, but the bottom line is that the solution is NOT to take something away from the MANY people who use it responsibly, to protect against the FEW who use it irresponsibly. If this were a viable solution, then there should be A LOT of people banned from ever touching money again! Financial irresponsibility is hurting ALL OF US right now and I, as a responsible person, have been beaten up pretty badly as a result! never mentioned 'statistics' did I? or are you trying to obfuscate?...LIKE I SAID IF YOU WANT ONE IN THE HOUSE GO FOR IT!!!...LEARN HOW TO USE IT PROPERLY SO WHEN YOU ARE STANDING THERE IN YOU UNDERWEAR AT 3AM THE GUY WHO BROKE IN DOESN'T CAP YOU OR GET AWAY...NOW WHAT ABOUT THE GUN IN THE CAR?????!!!!...oh by the way...I have never seen anyone killed with a dollar bill...have you? usually takes a LETHAL weapon...
  23. Good idea. I've been saying for a couple of years now that we should intentionally try to stoke up a rivalry w/ Toledo. It's a natural rivalry-in-the-making. And, aside from the last 2 years, they have had an outstanding FB program.Toledo has made it clear that they want to leave the MAC at the first good opportunity. If we can build a good rivalry with them, they might take us with them. As of right now, though, their only real rival is BGSU, and that's the way they like it.How and when did UT make it clear they want to leave the MAC?I'm constantly hearing from UT's fans that they will jump to C-USA or anywhere else at the first chance. Apparently their athletic department also has that idea. ???????????
  24. a concealed carry allows you to carry in your car..the moron who shot the officer had previously violated the concealed carry law and should have had the permit revoked...he went out and bought the gun he used to execute(3 to the head) the police officer AFTER he violated the concealed carry law...by the way the concealed carry REQUIRES that you announce the fact that you have the gun if a cop stops you..got no problem if you want to keep a gun at home...LEARN HOW TO USE IT>>>LEARN HOW TO STORE IT and hope when that guy breaks in in the middle of the night you have enough wits about you to get to it...and use it properly...you will be surprised how hard that is for you people who have litt;e or no formal training...thats most of you!
  25. anyone remember what happened a couple of weeks ago in TWINSBURG!!!!????...show of hands, how many of you now carry a hangun in your vehicles?...now how many have a concealed carry permit...do you know what the law says you have to do IF you have the permit?...i am a parole officer...i have friends who are/were police officers...to a person they say one of there biggest fears is confronting someone who may be armed...the cops walk right into it without knowing and you get a situation like you had with Joshua Miktarian...why was pace carrying a gun in the first place?... and if drugs were involved in the arrest even if the idiot prosecutor agreed to a plea bargain the evidence becomes even more damning...the mere fact that the gun was 'available' to this guy heightened the risk that the situation escalates to an unintended level...what a great country...we can carry guns in our cars just for the hell of it if we want to..
