  1. 6'10" forward. 3 star recruit according to 247. He supposedly had offers to UCLA and Rutgers.
  2. I don't think the MAC has said that there can't be nonconference games. Toledo released their nonconference schedule last week and it has multiple home and away games. https://utrockets.com/news/2020/10/27/mens-basketball-rockets-finalize-non-conference-schedule.aspx
  3. Looks like this is getting brought up again.
  4. Generally no. By rule, all sports must be played in the same division. There are some exceptions, but they are few and far between (most involve being grandfathered into the exception to the rule somehow). Its theoretically possible that the NCAA would allow it, but there is no reason to assume that they would waive the requirement.
  5. Its what he has been calling the Zips all season. I have assumed that this is the 119th year in Zips basketball history, but I have not actually confirmed that.
  6. Konata Mumpfield
  7. Ronald Jackson Jr.
  8. Julius Hawkins
  9. Charles Amankwaa
  10. 3 star LB from Princeton HS in Cincinnati. Looks like he originally committed to Kansas. Potentially big signing.
  11. Another RB. 6'0" 215lbs JuCo transfer
  12. I'm very excited for both of these Zips. An excellent start to the recruiting class.
  13. Its the same as a high schooler who commits to college before his senior year. You commit early to "lock in" your spot. He just stated his intent for the future.
  14. Absolutely, a big man that had offers from some big-time programs. If he has a decent offensive game, he is exactly what this team is missing.
  15. It looks like he has already committed to a lower level school for this season. Maybe a signing for next year? He is also quoted as going to Mott College in this article from July Edit: totally missed that he mentions Mott in his tweet. I still don't think he would be eligible for Akron this season and is probably playing for Mott for one year.
  16. It sounds like he did win a #1 spot, though maybe not the one you expected.
  17. Nate Oats has turned down one big payday. I think there is a really good chance he stays.
  18. West Virginia's main conference (Big 12) does not sponsor men's soccer... The SEC also does not have men's soccer, hence Kentucky previously being in the MAC as well. Would have taken you 5 seconds to look up.
