I am extremely happy with the recruiting class that we are getting ready to sign, and not even everyone is here,there still may be a few suprises on signing day ( which is 10 hours 17 minutes and 9 seconds away according to rivals.com)what does everyone else think?

I will definalty be tuned in to see how the mac did.

yes williams is going to toledo, but he will have to sit a year because i dont think he will have the grades, and then after that year is up it will be a push from what i heard to keep him eligible because his grades havent never really been good, just what he needed to be eligible.....and we all know its alot harder in college then hs to stay eligible.

yes we did get great players in moore and williams, but we have sewell now a 3 star linebacker who is so tough he eats nails for lunch lol. i cant wait to see this guy on the field. he is probably the best linebacker akron has ever signed.

wayne jones signed with pitt and morgan is going with toledo. darn it they stole another one of our local players.

a few more wins under our belts an people will start noticing, especially if we beat toledo in a tough toledo arena.

i could see akron taking 2 wins in the dance if dru is hitting,rome is hitting,miah is rebounding,dials an middelton are playing great D and milum is blocking every shot within a 20 foot radious and as always

someone make a small stick figure ( but large enough to see on TV) and throw a t shirt on it (cut into the shape of a basketball jersey) and put his jersey number and BLOhio on the front and then on the back put his last name with a fake knife sticking out of it lol. may not work but it was just a thought.

I have known a couple of smaller d2 and d3 schools that sell tickets to their annual banquet, but not akron.

lets just hope we dont leave it in the hands of the committee to help us get into the dance, because im sure they dont look to much at having 2 MAC schools in it if we lose. So lets not put it in their hands, an handle buisness in cleveland!

as of yesterday evening, vince hill has recommitted to the zips ended the whole on again off again game of suspence... im glad cuz i just watched film on this guy an he is a game breaker. The zips now have 2 big time offensive threats in David Harvey and Vince Hill..... it could be very fun to watch them this year! and as always

hey everyone this just in.......tomorrow will be as cold if not colder. The akron public schools have already cancelled school for tomorrow, along with around 150 other schools..... but will the university of akron......im thinking probably not!

According to the fox news website, as of 1:33am in Akron it is 1 degree, but with the windchill it is -29 hopefully the president is smart enough to realise its to dang cold to have people having to walk in this weather. but we shall see.

There werent any posts for the Lady Zips about their win on saturday. Id like to be the first to say Great game Zips. You played hard and didnt turn the ball over. If you can play like that for the rest of the season then i could see them winning a game or 2 in the MAC tourney. Just hope that they dont play bowling green or ball state. I seen bowling green play toledo today on the TV an wow, they are very good. I hope that in 3 years from now that the Zips will be as good as Bowling Green now. It could happen, they interviewed the coach after the game and he said that they have been together for 4 years now and there is alot of team unity an that is the reason they are playing so well. Good luck Wed when you all travel to Central Michigan. And Zips fans how about we get more people to come out and watch them play on sunday Feb 11th against toledo at the JAR. It is pretty sad that the mens game got 4,900 people and the womens game which was only 30 minutes after the mens game only had 506, now thats just downright horrible.... so how bout we get more of the AK Rowdies out there and more fans from the community also and get behind the lady zips like you do the mens team!

yeah thats how it is looking. But i say that if Indiana refuses to play us at the bowl this year then we drop them and dont schedule them at all. They act like their doing us a favor by playing them,when we would be paying them to come and play here. i say we drop them and find another mid major school to play that wont give us the hassle about where we play. heck maybe even a youngstown state? They are an up and coming team with the addition of former Stv Stm standout and Ohio State player sian cotton. hey its just a thought....... and as always.....
