I thought Conyers was a guard. At 6'5, isn't he kind of undersized for the forward position? I really thought he would be the fourth guard.In regard to Wood: he always was one step better than Travis. This is a very good thing because if he can pick up where he left off before the injury, man that would be money having him and Rome on the floor at the same time.I'm really hoping we find a fourth guard on this team that can step in and contribute or else we'll have the same problem as last year with guards tiring by the fourth quarter.

Can't State is slaughtering Toledo at Dix today. We have a legit rival ladies and gentlemen, and they are rolling. Toledo is making us look very good. Unflippinbelievable...

I for one cannot wait for basketball season. MAC basketball is so much more exciting than MAC football. The thing that worries me about our team is our size. Whenever we played bigger teams, we always got in foul trouble for that reason. That is our achilles heal this season. Can't is going to be tough. They are our biggest obstacle for a championship. They reload. After this football season's debacle, I refuse to join the hype. However, I'm excited to see what some new faces bring to the table this year. We play cupkakes. We'll win our 20 games, but will we win 'em when it counts in Cleveland?

Unfortunately I echo your sentiments Quickzips. The bottom line is we are not improved this year, and we should be a dominant team in this league. The scary thing is we are seeing more and more of JD's recruits in there and when you think that sould be a good thing, it leads me to ask if we are getting the right players in the first place. This is the second week in a row that I can say we were outcoached again. Cincy made adjustments, and we couldn;t handle it. We came out swinging but then we fell flat on our faces. I really want to believe in this team, but it's not looking good. I am not ready to give up on this staff yet, but we are entitled to question what the heck is happening here.

This is not a very good football team, and Getsy is showing us that the Getsy of the second half last year was a fluke. I am very disappointed that we are not showing improvement. Under JD, I expected us to get better every year, and this is nowhere near the case. This better get turned around next year.

Why are you jumping to conclusions? If zipsbandman cares to any degree at all about tradition, it is possible to care less. If ZPM does not care at all (Zero), than it is impossible to care less. It's not just luke but he's part of it. Stupid penalties, no running game, etc. This offense is boring is heck. They are making adjustments, and we are not. Once again, we are getting outcoached.

Don't get too excited rocket. While we probably won't be bowling this year, it's not the end of the world. If we would have had the season many expected us to, we probably would have been saying bye bye to JD. The guy can coach and is still learning like the rest of his young recruits. This just means we have his services a lot longer. The zips will be fine, and soon we'll be saying bye bye to the rubber bowl and moving into a brand new facility that may very well rival the glass bowl. We just need to figure out how to finish this season with some positives. Based on the team that showed up at Can't, here are my predictions:@ Cincinnati - LMiami - L@ Toledo - LBowling Green - LBuffalo - L@ Ohio - LWestern Michigan - LHowever, it could change depending on what they show me on Saturday. If it's more of the same, my predictions stand.

If we can dethrone Can't this year, this would really make up for the loss to them in football. It will be tough though.

Now here is my question? Why in the HELL, and I'll repeat. Why in the hell does Can't have so many athletes and we were running around the field like a bunch of headless chickens? If talent was the difference in this game then why is it the case? Are we recruiting the right guys? We should have been way more talented than them and we're not. That's a problem.

True but one foot is already in the casket. Oh well lets see what happens. If we come out hard at Cincy there may be signs of hope. However, if that same undisciplined team comes out we are in for a long season.

The outlook is grim. Akron will not make 15k at all. Who knows what the NCAA will do with us if we don't continue to kill ourselves. We pretty much have to win out to stand a realistic chance. Can't will probably win the east and go bowling. I hate Can't, and I hate that they will see the postseason a year after we did. We need to show some form of life or recruiting is going to suffer.

Well, I was one of the few zip fans that saw this coming. I didn't want to be negative and predict the loss on any boards, but I knew it was coming. It was the same feeling I had before the Central game. Usually, my gut is right. Our play just has not been impressive and Can't has looked as if they cannot be stopped.

If he keeps this up it's going to be bad news. This cannot continue.
