YSU will never be I-A. I'm not saying you can't, but its just a matter of you not jumping on board in time. YSU cannot possibly get into the MAC. Akron, Can't, the directional Michigans, and probably most of the Ohio schools will block you in a second, and I can understand why. And if you can't get into the MAC where else will you go? The Sunbelt?

I think we're the underdog here. We are an entirely different team on the road, and we never win in Miami.

Right now it seems we are on a collision course with Can't for the semi's. If Toledo does not start losing some games, they will get the 1 seed with Can't and Akron in the the next two seeds. This would mean an Akron/Can't matchup in the semis. Scary...I would almost rather see Can't in the 1 seed so we would not have to see them until the finals.In the meantime, we must win at Miami to get that quality road win under our cap. Winning a game like this would only boost our confidence and would definitely get me to truly believing we can do it.

I like that KD brings in these high school kids and does not rely on JUCOs but I'm a little skeptical about the future. Since our goal is to be among the elite in the MAC year in and year out we have to compare ourselves with the best, and unfortunately it has been Can't State. Looking at the guys they have now plus the top 30 recruiting class they are bringing in we may be in big trouble folks. So then I look at our roster and I see a completely wasted scholarship in Rybak. Linhart is just ok. He plays defense but offensively he takes ill advised shots and seems like a foul machine at times. Then there is "Earth" Quade who has some serious hops and can be lights out when he is on but in the physical games he is nowhere to be found and that's not good. Will McNees and Bardo be able to contribute or will they be two other Rybaks? The jury is still out as we have yet to see. Conyers really needs to pick his game up for us to be any good. I am encouraged by our most recent class. I think McKnight's brother will be a good one. Sweich will probably be a good "big man" as he is not as much of a project as Bardo. I don't know too much about the Stewart kid but he sounds good.Here is the bottom line:The zips MUST win the MAC this year. An early exit from the tourney would be even more devastating than last years debacle. A tourney appearance will but a spark plug into our recruiting efforts, and that is something we do not have right now or will not have if we don't win it all.

This aint Can't State

Can't State scares me big time. They are even a greater threat than Toledo. You look at that team and you see what good recruiting does for a basketball team.

I'm really not too sure why BG has been so successful when you look at the "BIG Picture". Their facilities are the worst in the MAC. They don't even have trees on their campus, and rival Toledo dominates them in every way. Their colors are kind of uglyish. I just don't see them being much of a power anymore with everybody else catching up. I don't mean to bash them because I think their fans are among the better ones in the MAC, but when you look at what they've accomplished versus what they've got its kind of impressive.

I'm embarrassed that opposing fans and visiting teams have to see what we play in. I say move all the home games elsewhere. I mean come on. We got lights on the field. We got tarps covering seats. We got crumbling bleachers that will cut someone's skin. The restrooms are disgusting, and the place is in the middle of nowhere right next to an airport.

Okay if we lose at Miami, we definitely lose to Can't. Can't is a much better team. I would be very disappointed if we don't win at Miami.

I've read bobcat attack, and they have been quite brutal even more than Can't fans (even though they're probably too dumb to make up anything witty). Bobcats and their fans deserved this one.
