Good points GP1. I can't believe some of you are actually respecting the Flushes. They embarrass themselves as usual in their first two games, come back and beat two very down MAC programs, and now we're supposed to think they have a chance of beating a team they haven't beaten in a decade (forget that '03 fluke) that also happens to have its best team in that decade?? Give me a break. We'll walk into Dix, probably have more fans than they do there, and the Zips will wipe the turf with the backs of those ass clowns and go home, much like last year, only with no snow and 40 mph wind to hold us to only 35. This is what scares me. Akron has been known to lose games that they are supposed to win. I saw us collapse against army. We totally got let down with Ball State last year not to mention Central. And then we lose to Central again this year when we really could have won the game.Sure, I think on paper we should beat Can't, but these guys didn't beat BG. They slaughtered them. I'm not saying we will lose, but I just got a bad feeling. It will be a good game though nonetheless.

Actually, you're absolutely right. That's what most zip games feel like. I wasn't at this one but i've been to plenty others. The stadium is coming. We've got to give them time.

Can't State just waxed BG 38-3! This game SCARES me big time. They pulled off two straight road wins against Miami and BG? The nation needs to come out in force for this one. We cannot lose to them!!!!

The new facility will be two stories with office space and a meeting room for the team. The Olympic sports are also expected to move as well. Excellent Idea!!! This is also going to lead to much needed rennovations to the JAR. Way to go Mack!!

I heard the renderings from two years ago is not what the stadium will really look like. They'd probably be different.

I think we are in big trouble here. The offense has yet to impress me. They have done nothing spectacular the first three games. The fact that we were scoreless at the half at central was pathetic. WMU and Toledo??? That's just the begining of our problems. OU will give us fits. Bank on it. Miami has always had our number. Say what you will about them against Can't. They killed us last year. Can't now has confidence, and the rivalry game will really fire them up. I am very very disappointed because I wanted us to run the tables in the MAC and show everyone we are no fluke team. Losses like this should not even be.

Getsy and the o-line lost this game. JD did not. The coaches cannot go out on the field and make the plays.

Actually I'm pretty concerned. Look how bad he was middle of last season. Could the old Getsy be back?

This was one of the only good things for zip fans today. It's great seeing Miami fans squirm a little bit since they have been on top for so long. They get a little taste of what Akron had put up with all these years. What's even worse is they only got 10k in attendance on a beautiful homecoming day, and yet everyone is quick to rip our attendance.

no way... after next season he will be gone unless we can pay him something close to his worth in the open market. 4 more years is a dream. I wish he would stay but i am also a realist. JD still has a lot of work to do. While I give him credit, he did not necessarily run the table last year in the MAC and lost the bowl game. Also, he beat a crappy NC State team that probably will be lucky to win another game against a 1-A team this year. We also need to work on consistency as a team, and stop it with these letdowns after a big win. JD is an outstanding coach but he still needs a bigger resume.

Which means we need too get our act together because this shows that we can be beat by Can't, and if we play like we did today then we are in for a long season.
