Thanks for the analysis. I agree with most comments. However, I would like to forget Nelson as a QB option. I want to move forward with the prospects that we have on offense, and many on defense. Regarding the defense, I would like to get a transfer from the portal for the DL, LB, and DB. There are many 3 and 4 star prospects that are available. These additions would be very good as the recruits grow into their positions. Arth is building a very good team. He just needs some more time.

thanks for the link. looking at the BGSU website, it does not appear that these 4 players are prime time and will have a big impact on the outcome of the game. 2 of them played little and 2 of them played more but were not starters or serious contributors.

Players transferring is the norm today. Everybody wants to have instant gratification. Go to the transfer portal and search on schools. Most have 3-6 players in the portal. Akron will have more players that want to transfer. If the 4 redshirt freshmen linemen are truly very good, I see many O linemen wanting to transfer to get some PT. We need to understand that this is not a weakness, but it is a reality. I see this as an opportunity to get 3 stud defensive players to close some of the gaps as the young players develop.

On the zips web site, Wolfely is listed as a R-So, and not a grad transfer. He will me missed even though the Zips do not utilize tight ends appropriately.

This decision is another that is not good for Akron long term. Dillon looked like a top notch player. However, I do not think the Kent Akron game made this decision, but the opposite. If I was watching the game, I would think that I could get on the field very early based on the pathetic Kent performance. Let's hope he comes back.

Bubba is not the problem. Also, there was a Cleveland born linebacker named London Fletcher that was small, but he played for 15-16 seasons in the NFL. The problem is the other linebackers in the group. Even though, I think there are a couple of young players who will be good.

I was a Bowden supporter. I came to many games with season tickets over many years cheering for him. I supported multiple people on this forum that disagreed with Bowden. They were dismissed as part of this forum. I still will say that the cupboard was left bare. Actually, I have some John Carrol friends who do not speak kindly of Arth. They had sons playing for him that they did not support. Then, there were the parents who provided total support. I am just trying to provide a straight forward response. I am done with this argument. I have learned long ago that the fans who could not play, would cause issues. As a former D1 athlete, I will stop this thread.

Where was Romenick tonight? He has been punting quite well. there were some articles stating that the Zips had several persons out due to illness. The same applies to the DL. I did not see some players rotating in. However, Kent scored too quickly for rotations.
