xu9697
Miami vs. Akron for the title. Book it.I missed last night's game due to circumstances out of my control. And yet, I feel I have followed this year's MAC and at least 10+ years of MAC basketball to feel confident in this prediction.Saw the highlights, read a little on here= last night stunk for many reasons. The beauty of the situation is it will matter little (if at all), if Akron wins 3 games in 3 days. I will be there Thursday afternoon and Saturday night (Friday might be tough for me..have to devote a bit of time to the family!!!).GO ZIPS!! mes102
Miami(OH) over BuffaloOhio over Can't StateAkron over E. MichiganC. Michigan over Western MichiganMiami(OH) over OhioAkron over C. MichiganI see a 47% chance of a Miami-Akron final...a 26% chance of seeing an Ohio-Akron final, and 27% chance of seeing a Can't-Akron final...but if we lose before that, well...then it really doesn't matter cause all 3 would be 0%
Let'sGoZips94
That's what I'm hoping for, too. I think it's very possible if Buffalo beats Can't, then Miami can beat Buffalo and Akron gets the finals against Miami. If this happens, REVENGE TIME BABY! Big Zip
I'm hopeful that the loss to Can't doesn't hurt this team more than just the loss. I'm actually afraid this team is defeated in the way they played and basically weren't even in the game against Can't and it will lead to a one and done tournament. I just don't feel good about the tournament at all.
RootforRoo44
I want Can't in the final. Unlike all of you i dont see Can't as more athletic or even better. If we meet again, Akron will win.
Kangaroo Craig
As much as it pains me to say it, the title game will be a rewind of the first two Can't Akron meetings. We will have 24 wins and no post season tourney to show for it. I love everyone's optimism on this board, but I just don't see how this team can beat Can't. They are just way too physical for us or anyone else in this league. In order to beat them, we would need to be "lights out" from the 3 point arc and beyond and not turn the ball over. Anything is possible, but this scenario is unlikely.

They also had close calls at home against BG and on the road against Central Michigan, and barely escaped a loss against Western Michigan at home. A win is a win, and they are certainly the favorite to win it all, but please, let's quit acting like this team is so damn unbeatable. RACER
Can't is a good team buut they are duke.we need better guard play, and three point shooting.
wadszip
Can't is a good team buut they are duke.we need better guard play, and three point shooting. Can't is beatable, but for whatever reason, we aren't the team that is set up to do that. But I'm actually happy with ending up with the No. 3 seed. The tourney sets up perfectly for us. Would've been better if NIU would've been able to hold off EMU, but still EMU and CMU is a nice road to the finals. Can't is going to have to dodge two of the No. 3, No. 4 and arguably the No. 5 team in the conference in (Buffalo, Miami and Ohio) just to get to the finals.I also hope the Can't players are as overconfident of a couple of fans I've had to deal with. They think it's a forgone conclusion that the tourney bid is theirs.
akzips10
As much as I would have loved to see us go into the Q with a regullar season title and the 1 seed, I dont really know if we could have asked for a better road. We are clearly on the side of the bracket with the easier road. Granted we have already lost to Eastern and let the CMU big guy drop 34, I still think these match ups favor us more. I am hoping Cant gets popped off b4 the finals, I understand the sweet revenge it would be, but of the 40 minutes we've played them so far a strong portion of those have been no doubt domination by Can't, ie both 2nd halves. I dont think we couldnt beat them, I think we have the talent to beat anyone in the MAC, period, but for whatever reason they seem to have our number. So lets hope we turn it on at the right time like last year and this time next week we are all making our reservations and filling out our brackets with the zips in it! And Singletary and Evans didn't play a lot of minutes on Friday. Scary. I don't want to have to count on Akron to play a phenomenal game to win a title. OU has the personnel to beat Ken+, and I'll be hoping that happens. If not, I hope Miami or Buffalo can do it.

MDZip
Pretty prescient for the folks at the top of this thread. If the Zips win it, I predict another 13 seed, Miami or OU a 14 seed and probably a 15 if WMU improbably wins it. In the best interest of the MAC now, we all need the Zips to win it! Dr Z
Pretty prescient for the folks at the top of this thread. I agree. Props to xu9697 & mes102. I watched two Ken+ games this year and couldn't see how they weren't going to be the finals. That Ken+ team I watched last night was not the same team as the team I watched before. They were flat.
