Over/Under On Attendance?

$20 for Lowers, $15 for Uppers, $10 for Adult and $5 for a Child. I would guess 400 fans as the over/under.

I think $10 a ticket with buy one get one, would give our seniors a chance to go out with a respectable crowd.

Does the CBI have a hand in setting the prices?

Go Zips!

no but $60k for hosting a game must be made up somehow. I also see nothing about student pricing. I might just get a $20 seat since I'll probably be by myself anyway.

I'll take the over on your bet. What's the wager? ;)

With the combo of spring break AND it being St Pattys I'm going to take the under.

I hate to add to the already incredible pressure on the team, but they should know Wednesday is my birthday, and a Zips Win would certainly make things as merry as another Guinness.

Go Zips!

We should recoup a large portion of the $60K with $12 sodas and $9 dogs.

Any team that buys into the CBI is signaling the rest of of the world "Hey look at us; we are desperate for attention."

If that were the case, it would mean that people pay attention to the CBI. I don't think that's the case.

I like the CBI. More competitive basketball at the JAR is always good.

My over/under is 2,900.

Quick, tell me three teams that played in the CBI the last two years? Who won it all each year to take home the title of "we're #98 or whatever"? No peaking now.

I have no idea whether you answered the second question correctly or not, but if you did you either peaked or you have no life whatsoever.

What year did Zipmeister peak? I say 1956. And -- No peeking, ZipsNation!

Who cares? I'm not looking at this so much as a postseason tournament as I am an extension of the regular season, but playing some of the mid-high RPI teams that so many of us would like to see the Zips schedule in place of the softest of the cupcakes.

The fact that the first game is another home game is a huge bonus that the NCAA doesn't offer. I'm saving a heck of a lot of money over what it cost me to go to Portland last year to see the Zips play Gonzaga. I get to see Jimmy Conyers and Chris McKnight play another game at the JAR. I get to see Zeke one more time at the peak of his freshman year performance. I get to see all the Zips players I enjoy watching play, win or lose.

So I could care less if the CBI has zero cachet. It's just another opportunity for fans of Zips basketball to see more Zips basketball.

So close. Actually, I haven't reached it yet, but it can't be more than a few decades from now. Go Zips, beat the heck out of them "hold the ball for the full shot clock, Phoenix."

So the Zips make a post-season apperance in four of the last five years. Unless you're a top-level program, that's still not bad. And the irony is that the one team that didn't was arguably the best of the five.

Now that the CBI is in existence we should be able to string about 50 post season appearances in a row. Not bad.

That's NEARLY from here to 1956, for you youngsters out there.

Any game against a good mid-major team (or any good team) is OK by me. It's another game that Marshall, Cvetinovic, McClanahan, Steward, McKnight and others can gain game experience. I don't think any fans here are salivating at the chances of a CBI Title. I think most are just happy to get another game experience for our team, and another game to watch their favorite team.

Oh yeah, it's "peeked", not "peaked"...

Don't confuse the rest of the board. If they figure out you understand the difference they will be asking you to explain the difference between to two and too, or between then and than, or between there and their. Other "peaked" comments were much more subtle and right over there heads. ;)

I dont know if you are implying that my knowledge "peaked" at this moment or that i "peeked" but i actually had heard of this tournament before and even watched a title game in it last year.

Just pay attention to college basketball a little bit and you'll pick up things like that.
