Zipmeister Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Down by 8 or less late in the game, no timeouts remaining, what do you do, fake an injury. Only make sure non critical personnel are used for this purpose because the "injured" player has to leave the game. We should start working on this right away. We don't want the Golden flushes getting an advantage over us in the area of injury faking. Quote
cornbread Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 all coaches are kinda weird like that. Bringing the stage to the gridiron is a little too fruity for my tastes. Quote
Quickzips Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Really? You have limited time under NCAA rules to be able to practice and this is what you spend your time on? Quote
Wally B Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I'm just glad to hear he was able to return a short time later Quote
72 Roo Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 When you coach a stunt like this you are sending a message to your team that you really don't trust or believe in them. Martin is pathetic. I like coach I more and more, especially when compared to Dougie boy. Quote
scottditzen Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 What a dork. It makes ripping on that neighboring school so easy sometimes.... Quote
Valpo Zip Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 Sometimes i wish Doug Martin coaches Can't State's basketball team. Quote

GP1 Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I swear to God, I think Martin has been trying to get fired for the past few years and the administration just won't pull the trigger. What else does this guy have to do to get fired? Quote

What else does this guy have to do to get fired? I would say commit a felony, but....well.....this is Can't we are talking about. Quote
MDZip Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I think you guys are being too hard on them. After the "injury", they marched right the field and scored - against their own defense. Quote
g-mann17 Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I think you guys are being too hard on them. After the "injury", they marched right the field and scored - against their own defense. But what if after talking to Keith, he also talked to the defense and said "Ok after Keith goes down, you guys should pretend to be the worst defense in college football, well, you know, just be Can't State". mes102 Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 :screwks: The irony is the next day there was an actual injury... OR was it? oh well...it's Can't...they're best majors are fashion design and other careers that are in jeopardy right now in this economy... Quote
Z.I.P. Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 You have got to be kidding me. http://www.recordpub.com/news/sports_article/4876519 This may help confirm the speculation that Christiano Ronaldo was seen at Dix Stadium yesterday. Doug Martin is going all out to perfect his team's "flopping" abilities. Even bringing in the world's best coach. Quote

Apparently Martin is also heavily recruiting Anderson Varejao, although he may be backing off a bit now that "Wild Thing" sprained his ankle playing for the Brazilian national team...or did he??? Captain Kangaroo Posted August 19, 2010 Report Posted August 19, 2010 I found this pic of Martin posted on ZN a few years back. I assume the yellow hair has turned a little grayer of the years, but he must not have changed all that much? Quote
K92 Posted August 21, 2012 Author Report Posted August 21, 2012 Had to resurrect this thread since Derek Dooley pulled the same stunt. Link My bet is Dooley will meet the same fate as Martin. The football gods hate these kind of guys. Quote
