NWAkron Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 Agree with Roo in part specifically on the multi bid league crap. Whose fault is that? There's no NCAA rule that says MAC is one bid league. It's been lame coaches like Dambrot and Hawkins who made the league one bid. 1 Quote

Let'sGoZips94 Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 It's really ironic how much Dambrot's lack of self accountability reflects LeBron's. Quote
NWAkron Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 And nothing against the players who leave if they do. I just don't see Duquense rebuilding their program around them. They are young and must have so many people chirping in their ears right now. I hope they have someone they can absolutely trust to guide them. I'm probably naive, but I hope President Wilson is reaching out to them as I'm sure the AD is. Quote
zippy5 Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 Where are you guys seeing Hughes is gone? I think a lot of these guys will probably regret saying some of this stuff in a few days. But I can't blame them Quote

Nothing straight from Hughes as of now. Quote

Don't you think this represents a golden opportunity for Hughes to get another opportunity here under a new coach? Quote
NWAkron Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 I don't read Antino's tweet that way. I read it like he wants to break that cycle. Give these kids time to sort this out. Think about how all of us react hastily to a simple botched play or blown lead and we are just fans. These guys are facing huge change. Quote
dirtyolcrowe Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 i hope we keep McNees...he's the bee's knees!!!!!! Quote

NWAkron Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 Seriously, what's there to panic about? Quote

Anyone who leaves has to give up their scholarship and sit out a year, unless they drop down. Don't be so quick to assume that starters are willing to do that. Most of our guys are not about to get P5 scholarship offers. Most certainly not Antino or Noah or Hughes. Quote

And again, TDM (5'8"0) and Hughes (never got any minutes to speak of and showed NOTHING) are NOT getting P5 scholarship offers. If they leave they only shoot themselves in the foot. Especially TDM, his only real chance to play in D1 is at a Mid-Major due to his size. Quote

I'm sure he was offered a scholarship. My assumption is that Hughes and Dalton are going to Duquesne as well, since it was stated that they are leaving together. Dambrot recruited TDM when no one else would, so his loyalty on surface (not knowing any of these people personally) is understandable. And a big thank you to Keith for keeping ZipsNation basketball forums open and in business for the next 6 months. Quote
tpsjugglerdude Posted March 28, 2017 Report Posted March 28, 2017 It's kinda crazy this site already has TDM transferring. https://www.verbalcommits.com/transfers/2017 Quote

AND they can drag down the program there. They can follow him, we can get open scholarships for some JUCO transfers. We have been very successful with them in the past. Quote
