On the offensive line, we're losing starting RT Adam Bice, starting RG Mitch Straight, and back-up Center Vinnie Rizzo. We also lose 4-year starting longsnapper Adam Steiner.

At QB we lose Dalton Williams. At WR we lose Marquelo Suel. At RB we lose Quentin Hines. We also lose starting TE Rhyne Ladrach.

On the D-line we lose JD Griggs. At LB we lose both Kurt Mangum and Troy Gilmer. We lose Josh Richmond at Safety. We lose Miklos Blake and Avis Commack on the Corners.

That's everybody who is graduating.

the kid from mckinley- mills was a good high school player.i would think he would have a chance to start next year.

We've been begging for some information on this guy (and others) for about three months now. Cameron Black is another OL prospect.

I DL who doesnt play is facing a probable assault charge. Hopefully Bowden will get rid of this guy and open up another scholly that we can get a player of some worth out of.

If he still wants to play football, maybe he ends up at Fordham. Moorhead was pretty high on him 4 years ago.

In his defense, he was out almost all season due to injury.

I'm fine with it, though. I dont see him making the WR rotation with the guys in front of him. Just another scholly opening up, in which hopefully TB can get a quality player out of.

We only lose Suel, and hopefully we gain D'Orazio, so I don't expect the freshmen to make an immediate impact.

Bowden has been searching for a "burner," so I guess if one of the frosh grades-out as the fleetest of our WR's he'll have a shot at playing early.

This is a good discussion, since Suel was such an important part of last year's offense. The Toledo finale depth chart gives an idea of where Zip WRs were primarily used on the field. I could be wrong, but I believe the X and Z positions are outside and the H and Y positions are inside. Suel did much of his damage over the middle, so it makes sense that he played the Y. I think the H term goes back to the fullback/TE hybrid used in the NFL, so it also makes sens that this is an inside position.

What's interesting to me is that there doesn't seem to be a consistent set of desired characteristics for an inside or and outside receiver. LT Smith is supposed to be as fast as any current WR and he's playing outside. Dillard used his size to have a breakout year from an outside position despite his lack of speed. Sconiers playing outside is a little bit of a mystery.

A look at the inside receivers shows they are either small, quick guys who are threats for YAC (Davis, Frieson, Williams) or physical, athletic types like Suel and D'Orazio who can do a little bit of everything.

It's hard to say where Traylor-Bennett and Wolf fit into this array. They're both big and fast from early accounts. Their size points to an outside position, but if one of them shows the ability to make the big catch in traffic they will probably end up playing inside.

This may seem like an insignificant discussion to some, but if TB thinks it necessary to have different position coaches for inside and outside receivers, I'd say there must be a big enough distinction between what he wants to see from each of these groups.

I saw Andrew Pratt the other night. He was playing in a Green High School alumni basketball game. It appears to me that he has bulked up over the off season. I wonder where he is going to fit in? In the limited action he saw last season, he caught nearly every pass thrown his way. But for some reason when he did get PT it was mostly on running plays or set plays away from him. He's big enough to play TE.

I've heard Wolf likes to run in a pack and odds are Traylor-Bennett does too, just as long as he is behind someone.
