The Beavers look like a United Nations team with one player each from Canada, Australia, Sweden and The Netherlands, and two from Senegal. They also have six players on the roster standing 6-10 to 7-0, and their smallest player is 6-1. The Zips will not have a size advantage in this game. Regardless of our personal political beliefs, I think we can all come together and unanimously agree that we want to see President Obama return to the White House disappointed after seeing his brother-in-law's team lose to the Zips. :D

I will be disappointed if Obama returns to the White House. Maybe he can just stay there and play golf for the next three years.

I notice that they put the Dance on their schedule page.

Must be nice to play in a real conference.

I would hardly consider the PAC 12 a "real" conference. There are mid-major conferences who receive more bids than them. I think it was two years ago where they were only a 1 bid conference until that team was upset in the conference tourney.

I think the PAC-12 is the third best conference this year.

You'd think that teams like UCLA, Arizona, Stanford and Arizona State would fare "ok" if you dropped them in the MAC for a season. But who knows... :D

I guess we'll know for sure when a middle-of-the-PAC Oregon State faces the perennial MAC champ on a neutral court this Sunday night.

The Beavers have two players, Devon Collier and Roberto Nelson who average 25 and 23 points per game (not sure at this moment whom gets the 25, but they're both big threats). However, Roberto Nelson received a red card ejection in the first half of last night's Towson St. game. Does anyone know if he has to sit out his next game, or is that just under FIFA rules? Sorry, as I will tell kd and his group when they arrive in 5 hours, I'm still operating in futbol mode. :D

The university has announced that Roberto Nelson will not miss any further game time due to his ejection.

 That would be nice, wouldn't it? Heck, he's already played a record amount of golf even when he IS performing his duties as President, if you want to call it that.

We really should avoid political commentary here guys. C'mon! We're all Zips, and we all know we want Obama second guessing his pick of whichever team plays Akron in March because of the games he watched in Hawaii! :D

It will be way cool to have the leader of the free world attend their game. His mojo factor favoring the Beavers is a concern. I also wonder about the neutral court. Oregon State has a football game in Hawaii on the 24th. I would guess that many of their fans would double up and take in some BB games too. Can Big Zip round up some equalizers?

@Dr Z, Ken Pomeroy has said that TeamRankings uses advanced algorithms that he considers to be pretty accurate. Here's what TeamRankings says about How We Rank Teams.
They don't seem very good at it. Maggie the monkey is much more reliable.

Edit: Change "don't seem very good" to terrible. (click on week 15) Won't direct link to it.

I'm thinking of a new algorithm to improve their W/L record
