Game #7 Ohio Bobcats

I look for Woodson's start to force the Zips offense to do what they should have been doing all year long, and that's be "run-first." Enough with 5 wide-outs...our QB isn't that good, and out WR's aren't that good.

They moved him around a little last week and I think it took some pressure off of him. I would like to see more of that this week. Could be the wrinkle the Zips include in the offense that has not been heavily filmed this season. Could catch them by surprise, get a couple of early scores and ride out the defense with a late TD and some field goals.

With a full week as the #1 QB, Woodson should be better than last week. Let's make certain we don't duplicate what the Jets did last night. Need to score points.

The Zips have a better coach than the Jets, I wouldn't concern myself too much about what's going on there.

GT writes his 5 keys to beat OU: In a nutshell: Establish the run. Stop the run. Protect Woodson. Send in Jerome Lane (no 14).

"UA’s offensive line has powered the team to an average of 170 yards rushing in the past three games."

Weather calls for 53 and cloudy during the game with a 20 percent chance of rain.

Old school ................ Power-I mixed with the read option. Quick personnel change between the two to keep the defense off balance

I don't foresee the Zips doing that...but they should.

If "old school" is in any way used to describe our offense at day's end, I think we'll have had a successful day.

That would be amazing. I do believe Woodson ran a great deal of triple option at Gateway. At least earlier in his HS career.

I went to the Pitt-VT Thursday night and saw Pitt run a great deal of read option, something that Voytik was familiar with from high school. I'm not sure if we had enough time (pitt had a bye week to install it) to install a similar package for Tommy, but if so, I think it'd be a good move if that's something he ran at Gateway. If not, keep it simple. We're good enough to win without Pohl if we don't beat ourselves.

Who's going to be on the board for the game?

Got it streaming on the TV via ChromeCast while I clean around the house.

I will try to be. Watching on Roku and listening to French on 1350
