We should refuse to go. We had a great season, and get no respect at all.

I actually might agree with this IF we have to go on the road for the NIT First Round. We should make some noise in the media if they won't give us respect for the noise we made on the court.

Then why are they a play in???????

The record. I hate any Conference winners in Dayton(other then when the SWAC a couple of years ago with all of the APR issues), but that is what they decided.....

It was posted above we are a 6 seed playing a #3. That means we go on the road. Personally I would just tell them to get someone else. Too insulting.

Well if this is the case go on the road and beat the Blue Jays if you want respect. Talk of leaving the MAC for what? How about the MVC which can get multiple teams in, lets see if Akron can win there?

Then you'll never get consideration again for post season and pre season tourneys.  You'll. Kill your basketball program.   Great idea zip nation!!!

Why continue to play in a conference when the leadership fails time after time to defend their own?

MAC Commish has no backbone and until they get someone in leadership with balls nothing will change.

Its a joke that in 2016 we are basically getting the HBCU Conference treatment.

I hope this serves as a wake up call to Coach Dambrot to start actually scheduling better teams OOC. Yes, I know we had a great RPI, but we had no top 50 wins and only 1 top 50 team on the schedule. Clearly top 50 wins trump RPI. Fix it.

Actually, I heard a lot of them mention Top 100 wins as a measurable. Obviously Top 50 wins trump that, but one of the anaylysts mentioned Top 100 wins (or lack thereof) when arguing against the selection of Michigan.

Maybe we can just play in tournaments for our entire OOC schedule. Only way they'll play us. Why would a team schedule Akron as a payday game when they can get less threatening teams for less money?

The goalposts shift when it comes to mid-majors. Unless we go about 30-3 it doesn't matter.

Will never happen. IMHO, Schools would outright refuse to be apart of it in Akron is in it. Doing it on their own? It is a 20-Loss Season if they do a Miami-Like Gauntlet Schedule....

I believe KD has been on record saying that those payday games are available, he is just too stubborn to take them.

+1 it's ridiculous to think teams are running away from Akron. If anything Akron is the one running away by not accepting guarantee games. You have to earn other programs respect before they will agree to come to your place.

The could hold their own in the MVC. The issue is the MVC gamed the system to be a Multi-Bid League......
