Game 9—@Buffalo Bulls

Since there has been some tech discussions on here, maybe somebody could help me out (starting to feel old being out of touch with some of the new technology). Long story short, I want to cancel my cable because all I use it for now is sports, especially since me and the wife just got a firestick and can watch essentially everything else, sans sports, with it. The only reason I'm keeping cable for now is due to having to my account to log onto ESPN3 (Zips football/basketball) and the Fox Sports app (Cavs). Does anybody know if those apps are still available if you only have internet service? Or is that on a provider-by-provider basis?

Those two apps (and I stream 80 percent of that stuff anyway instead of actually watching on actual cable) is why I haven't dumped it yet because I have to enter my cable information to get it. Luckily, I live in Wadsworth that has its own city-owned cable company that is pretty "inexpensive," but that would still be a $50 or so savings per month if I could just keep the internet portion and still have access to the apps I stream through my City Link (Wadsworth's cable/internet provider) account.

Yes you need cable logins for both. Specifically you need to have a login that has FSOhio to watch the Cavs games on Fox Sports Go.

I just borrow my parents login as they are too old school to ever cut the cord. Maybe see if you can do that or make a deal with a friend/family member. You could also subscribe to Sling TV (not sure if you could get cavs, but could find out) or Playstation vue for 20-35 a month.

You may want to look into SlingTV.

Appreciate the response ... and Zach too. I'll have to look into that.

Use Kodi app.

Kodi is an amazing piece of technology, but it's a little more complicated than the average user is used to.

Also, unless you have a VPN that you're running it through, there's that your ISP will throttle your connection if they detect you using it. Time Warner (now Spectrum) has done it to me in the past.
