I'm not concerned whether Kent suddenly became a great team. I don't think that's the case. I'm just taking notice of the fact that they just showed they can win a high profile road game. On the "will the nation or Joe Akron take notice" discussion, I can tell you this: My wife came home from work yesterday, and the first thing she said to me was, "Did you hear that Kent beat Texas?". So please, some of you need to stop being in denial and realize that average sports fans and media outlets take far more notice of these kinds of wins. Even those who might never follow Kent Basketball. And it doesn't matter if Texas is a national powerhouse this year or not. The Hip Zip
For the record, the Flashes do one thing extremely well. They crash the offensive glass. Have to keep a body on them which is often difficult due to the foul odor that they emit.
clarkwgriswold
One of the talking heads on ESPN today, while speaking of the various weaknesses of assorted top teams, said that Gonzaga and Creighton could be the best two teams in the country! kreed5120
It was only a 5 point game up until the final minute when Creighton started to foul. Nova was the better team, but Creighton still looked pretty good.
The Hip Zip
I have my doubts that this has ever happened before but each and every MAC team enters conference play off of a win. SCHOOL MAC OVERALL STREAK EAST DIVISION Akron 0-0 10-3 W3 Ohio 0-0 8-3 W1 Kent State 0-0 8-5 W1 Buffalo 0-0 7-6 W2 Miami 0-0 7-6 W2 Bowling Green 0-0 6-7 W2 WEST DIVISION Central Michigan 0-0 10-3 W2 Ball State 0-0 9-4 W5 Northern Illinois 0-0 8-5 W4 Eastern Michigan 0-0 8-5 W2 Toledo 0-0 7-6 W3 Western Michigan 0-0 4-8 W1

NWAkron
Buffalo better pull that game out vs. OU after choking a big lead at home! Kent in OT and home against NIU.

Kent in OT and home against NIU. NIU did beat Kent but the Bulls got robbed. The Bobcats miss two three throws with 30 seconds left and the rest called a jump ball on the rebound that it appeared Buffalo controlled. The arrow gave it back to the Bobcats and they won it on a jumper.
NWAkron
Hard to feel bad for Buffalo but that was a bad call and at home. Really awful for refs to do that after the guy misses both foul shots.
