Anybody get this working? I give up.

The interview really wasn't anything special. Things we all know here on Zipsnation. Terry just hit on .. in the MAC your not playing for the final 4 so our goals are right here in front of us. As part of this he did talk about how when he came here we had back to back 1 win seasons and had fired 2 coaches in 3 years was the worst team in D-1 and only had 56 kids on scholarship. He said that wasn't what the university or Akron deserve. He said Akron should be among the top of the conference every year.

He talked about that our non-conference games can be harder than our conference so the beginning of the year can be tough.

Woodside is the best qb in the conference. We can't let Toledo jump out ahead like we did in the first game.

I'm not going to say that Toledo can't beat us by 20 points.  But, to be listed as a 20-point underdog is a complete lack of respect.

Surprising lines like this suggest that Vegas knows something that the public doesn't.  But what is it?   Looks like a pretty enticing bet to me.

I don't want to ignore the previous game.  But....

1) It was in mid-October.

2) It was at Toledo.

3) In just the last couple of weeks, Toledo has played their worst game of the year.

4) In just the last couple of weeks, Akron has played their best game of the year (and it was against the team that demolished Toledo).

I'm not saying Akron will lose by 27 because they lost by 27 1 1/2 months ago, however, if I was an average Joe just looking to place a bet, this would be the 1st piece of information I'd look at. 21 is probably a few too many points, but Akron should be a heavy underdog heading into this game.

I think this is a fair assessment of the situation.

Just like the OU game, I'm probably looking at things from angles that tell me that we may not be outmatched.  It's an exciting time for us, and I'm really trying to see the optimistic side.

Zips now getting 21.5 points, on the neutral field.

May not be exactly a 'neutral field. I am looking at the Ford Field website seating chart. Looks like Toledo may have already sold most if not all of their seats in the lowe rbowl. Nothing is showing as available on that side. There are still seats available on the Akron side right in the middle of the lower section. We will see.

Any idea if anything is going on for students to help get them to the game?

On another note, anyone have a good idea of good places to stay in Detroit?

We were booking hotel but thought we might ask about location as downtown around the stadium may not be the best area??

Any advice on a good location not too far from Ford Field?

Staying in Dearborn. Staying away from downtown. We are a few miles from The Henry Ford. Will hit that on Sunday.

Kato Nelson is Akron's X factor

-by EA of the PD

"We've seen a lot of things they did against us when we did play them,'' Nelson said. "The biggest thing for us will be hitting our key matchups, getting the ball where we need it to be, and making the plays we need." Akron's practices this week have all been inside, prepping for playing in the dome, and with three things in mind, according to Bowden; "Work hard, have fun, stay focused. They have had some good practices,'' he said. And just like Nelson said he is ready, Bowden proclaims his entire team is ready, loaded with fodder from the newspapers and social media about the suddenly invincible Rockets. "They're hearing from everybody how this team is going to run all over them,'' Bowden said of Toledo.

IMO, the staff seems to get the team motivated by adversity. I might have been one of the few Zip fans that wanted Toledo favored by a lot.
