A turnover chain? I like it! I get it.

A freaking big pencil? Come on...really? The first time I saw that I facepalmed.

It was truly awful.  And dangerous (I saw a player come within a millimeter of getting hit in the eye with the stupid thing).

Let's face it...marketing for the last 3 years has been beyond bad. Nothing that caught national attention and the #ourway was as uninspired as you can get.

You need a guy with some non-football savvy, too, some penchant for marketing and fundraising

"some penchant for marketing and fundraising" that's going to magically bring in the $$$ of people just waiting to be marketed Akron football to? I feel like some of you are living in a bygone era...

Recruiting is marketing. #ourway int going to resonate with recruits. Truthfully, any professional job in this area requires some marketing skill, whether you are trying to retain employees, attract new ones, or pitch  your idea to senior leaders. Leading with influence vs. authority is one of the most necessary skills in the workplace,, today..

But you probably haven't had a real job,, yet.

I personally liked the pencil.  Didn't realize I was in the minority.   I heard the player that got the turnover had his name etched on the pencil and it was meant to keep going....

I believe you're in the vast minority, my friend. 😉

I have a real job where we don't have a high tolerance for bullshit and resume padders, and can smell frauds from a mile away.

Prepare to be obsolete.

Like Akron football already is? Nearly three-decades of nothing but resume padders. Just because someone can talk-the-talk, doesn't mean crap about whether or not it has objective value or not.

Perhaps that's why there are so many problems. Too many talkers, almost no provers.

I saw Arth multiple times on the sideline for the Steelers last night. Seems like a solid guy, but from a coaching aspect..talk about failing forward. Horrible at Akron, land a job coaching Justin Herbert. Staff gets fired and then get a job coaching Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Of course, neither have looked good this offseason so far.
