Spin
He needs out of there. The Pirates are hitting .220 as a team and are almost last in run support. His ERA is right at the MLB average. Good K/BB ratio. At 28, this is where pitchers usually peak. #WeWillSee
ZippyRulz
I agree, getting to a good team would put wind in his sails. He had a great outing last night at home against Boston though. 7 innings pitched, 2 hits, 7 K's, no runs and got the win (apparently he exited due to a blister). Bassitt is on the hill tonight for the Mets. Edited August 20, 2022 by ZippyRulz
Spin
Chris is scheduled to pitch Sunday for the Mets. 7:37 start time if the game is needed. The game would be on ESPN. One source had him pitching tonight, but that was not accurate. Edited October 8, 2022 by Spin

JT had decent numbers, but pitches for a 62-100 team that was almost last in run support. That changes a pitcher's strategy.

Missed your post somehow. He’s back in the Tribe’s errrrrr Guardians league so we should be able to catch him starting in CLE. The Jays are a top 10 power ranking franchise, might have another chance or two at the post season. Edited January 22, 2023 by Spin

Spin
Chris Bassitt is 1-1 10.61 after two starts with Toronto. He had a rough debut with the Canadian team,, giving up 9 earned runs on 10 hits, taking the loss to St. Louis. His second start was much better, giving up 2 earned runs on 2 hits to take the win against the Angels. His next start is scheduled for April 13 against Spencer Turnbull and the Detroit Tigers. Spin
Chris is currently 3-2 with a 4.82 ERA and 1.25 WHIP. He went 6 1/3 innings against the ChiSox allowing 2 runs on 3 hits, earning the win. Bassitt tied the major league lead in quality starts this season before exiting the game with lower back tightness. Fortunately, it doesn't sound like the righty will miss any time. He has allowed two or fewer earned runs in four consecutive starts lowing his ERA to 4.82. After allowing nine earned runs in his first start, the former Met has very much settled into his groove. The Toledo native is scheduled to start versus the Mariners on Sunday in Toronto.
