Reslife4Life
The 2-3 Providence Friars travel to Akron Friday Night. The Friars have scored 8 goals in their past 4 matches, 3 of which have come by way of #9 forward Brendan McSorley. Zips will look to make some noise in their first game in the Big East. Fans will also be encouraged to make some noise because Thundersticks will be distributed to the first 1,000 fans through the gates. Hoping to stay undefeated and pick up our first ever Big East Conference W!

Ugh) I can't answer "in any sport", but looking at the Zips Men's Soccer Media Guide, it looks like the last non-MAC conference win for Zips Men's Soccer was 10/27/1991 4-1 win at Western Illinois in the Mid-Continent Conference under Coach Steve Parker. Reslife4Life
The last non-MAC football win was 11/23/1991 at Temple winning 37-32. We were a Division 1-A Independent

I'm sorry, I don't understand the question. Do you mean the last win in another conference that Akron was in, or a non-conference win?
fknbuflobo
The last home Zips MSOC match I missed was in 2006. That streak will be broken tonight, sadly so. This FloFC had better be excellent considering it costs $30/month. Let's see if the Friars dare to high press us. I suspect they will not.

If your question was the last conference win in another conference other than the MAC in any sport, the answer is November 12, 2022. On that date Akron defeated Memphis 4,697 points to 4,674 points in rifle, in the Great America Rifle Conference.

bigzipguy
Zips give it right back. This has been somewhat of a trend the last few seasons, give up a goal late in the hald
Reslife4Life
Its not out of range by any means, we have seen some good second half adjustments this season. Lets hope we get a good one here tonight
zipsrule
This is surprising. In the previous 6 matches, we allowed 2 goals. We allowed 3 in the first half this evening.

fknbuflobo
This was a wild and woolly affair! Whew! Welcome to the Big East, Zips! Where even the average teams can whip your ass. Zips barely deserved to split the points, but something must be said for hanging tough and fighting back. From my vantage in my home office (basement), both PK awards were bogus. No? Our defense was awful in the first half. This is starting to look like a trend, a bad one. We must become more disciplined in the back. We will take the point. Onward and upward!
