exit322 Posted October 18 Report Posted October 18 Hey the Zips scored and had a lead, everything is perfect here. Quote
UAZipster0305 Posted October 18 Report Posted October 18 Heavy rain in the second half could really force changes in offensive strategy. I don't know who that favors, if anyone, but it will be interesting to see how the coaches respond (or not). Quote

Should favor Akron more than it does but no one respects Finley and the pass game, so they're guarding much more against the run. Good defensive takeaway, offense better do something with it. Quote
exit322 Posted October 18 Report Posted October 18 What a wonderful fourth down play by Finley. Quote

1981 grad Posted October 18 Report Posted October 18 Its 4th down!!! If you throw an interception it is no big deal. For a guy who throws it into coverage all the time now when its 4th down and he has nothing to lose he throws the ball out of bounds. You cannot make this stuff up because nobody would believe you. gozips19 Posted October 18 Report Posted October 18 4th and 7 and we throw the ball away? What in the absolute f!c! are we doing???? How long has Finley been playing college ball again? Quote

I multi-task, so when we are playing like crap like this, it's just white noise in the background. Lots of house projects and chores have gotten done at my place under these conditions over the years. 1 Quote
infofan Posted Saturday at 08:49 PM Report Posted Saturday at 08:49 PM Just curious. I’m watching the game and listening to the radio feed over iHeartRadio. All the commercials are Columbus Airport and Kroger and Casino. There are no local sponsors. Or is that just over the Internet feed? Is anyone listening to the game on 640? Quote

I don't know that a more fragile person has ever played Division 1 qb or a person so afraid of contact. I swear if you have the volume up you can almost hear him squeal every time a defender gets near him. Quote

I think it's an internet thing. I'm listening on the WHLO site and it's all CB Distillery and random non-local ads That was a good drive for a touchdown to get the lead late Quote

gozips19 Posted Saturday at 08:55 PM Report Posted Saturday at 08:55 PM If I'm gonna jump all over Finley for the 4th down brain fart I need to give him give hin his flowers for the touchdown throw. Excellent placement and what an adjustment by Mason. 1 Quote

LZIp Posted Saturday at 09:01 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:01 PM Pretty hard to believe we are leading at the half, but seems like offense may be getting into a rhythm and defense has adjusted to Kelly. Let’s come out and start the second half with a score 1 Quote
1981 grad Posted Saturday at 09:05 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:05 PM When you give Finley a clean pocket, he can get hot and throw some nice passes. We should keep a back in to block. On one of the sacks I watched the back go out for a pass when a lineman had a straight shot at the QB. That 96 yard drive is the best of the season and hopefully give the offense some confidence. It is so nice watching the opposing team make stupid plays like pushing our QB in the back out of bounds drawing a penalty and helping that drive. Quote
ZippyDoo Posted Saturday at 09:05 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:05 PM Mason has certainly been a highlight I think he had one catch last year and it was a td ... Quote

LZIp Posted Saturday at 09:26 PM Report Posted Saturday at 09:26 PM It would be great if Gant could stay on his feet. 2nd time he slipped this game. also interesting that we seem to have abandoned the Michael Johnson package. Quote
