ZachTheZip
I was thinking about this.... where do they plan on putting the cameras that normally sit behind the endzones for extra point kicks and stuff like that? In the rubber bowl, they were on top of the concession stand south of the field, but where will they be here? There really isnt any obvious locations for the TV cameras...I think the scoreboard is big enough to put a camera on top of it, and they can use the endzone building, too. Look at the second cam; even at the height that the cam is at (something like 60 feet or so), it still cant even see the goal post's crossbar. Blue & Gold
I'd say they really only need a single endzone camera - likely to be placed on top of the scoreboard. One team will be kicking towards the camera, the other team will be kicking away from the camera.

72 Roo
The project manager from Welty says that there is a platform built into the scoreboard for a camera. Don't know about the other end. Maybe that's why they re-enforced the building so much, to hold a lot of big cameras?
BostonZip
http://www.ohio.com/sports/51031102.htmlThe scoreboard will be completed by August 1st.From the photos, it appears that those are speakers on the top level of the scoreboard. Zips DM
You can't see it on the webcams, but the ribbon board has been installed in on the east stands. Keep your eyes peeled for a test or something.

I didn't notice that phase of construction at all, and I don't think I recall anyone remarking about it.

UADavid
Grading on the hill... I suspect grass (or sod) will be coming soon.Looks like the scoreboard parts that came down are in the way of the hill grading. I can't see the ribbon board. How long and where is it on the east stands? It looks like the last row of the lower bowl east side might have the ribbon board lying on it, but I don't see anything up. It also looks like something is lying down on the back row lower bowl press box side.
Zips DM
No, it is actually already up, you just can't see it. It is at the bottom of the upper deck on the east stands, and it is black so it doesn't show up at all on the web cams.
UA Fan
Grading on the hill... I suspect grass (or sod) will be coming soon. Not sod. It doesn't work on a sloped bank. That's what they've said. Grass seating won't be available this season. Fall is a good time to plant grass. It lies dormant over the winter and begins to grow in the spring. It should be ready for 2010. It's been the thing they have been talking about the most with the Stadium is the grass berm seating and if they don't have that for the students it's an epic fail on the part of the program. UADavid
A failure for sure if they don't get this handled. No good for Morgan St. but they should get this done before all the late year home games. It's 7pm and the scoreboard crew is still working. Been raining for approximately 20 minutes so they must feel some urgency to get this project moving. Most of the scoreboard that was taken down is still on the dirt bank. One thing I do know is that you don't seed in August without one heck of a watering system in NEO. You can begin to seed in September and grass will grow into November in NEO. There is no reason not to have tried to plant grass on there in April when it was graded. Even if it wasn't thick enough to seat people, at least it would have been nice and green for games instead of dirt city. What would that have been? $500 worth of seed? Oh noez were over budget nowz!epic fail
Zipsrifle
I think that Hunter saw on Stub Hub that the endzone of the stadium was closed off and decided to not plant grass accordingly. Unfortunately, as nobody knows we have a new stadium, all the seating diagrams are for the RB. Seriously though, I guess they are going to be tearing the turf off of the RB and putting it in the endzone seating as a stop gap.

Puting that unfinished section on national tv won't look good at all.
UADavid
The UA athletics office has that covered. 20 cans of spray paint! I hope it's green.
