I need to hurry up and make a will. The number of years that took off my life is still being determined. Every year, good teams always have 1 game where they play like dog poop. This was ours and we survived. Here's to opening up a can of whoop-ass the rest of the way. P.S. I'm at work, and I work at a sporting goods store in the golf department. You guys are miserable

I work near the Akron-Canton airport. I went to a sports bar to watch the 1st half. When I got there they had pretty much every game on besides Akron. I asked them to put channel 788 on and the bartender asked if this game was live. By the time I left, the Akron game was on half the TVs including both big projector screens and all I asked for was just 1 of the smaller TVs at the bar. Hopefully Akron picks up a few fans.

Found some seats via a friend. I'll be there plus 2 more. Very happy to be able to make it as I was expecting to have to listen on the radio in my office.

It is fantastic to hear a player call Akron his dream school. That is the first step to building a strong program long term. Lets hope that he keeps this view as he continues to be pursued. Michigan is hard to turn down if they end up offering.

Honestly, some of you are the most negative "fans" I've been exposed to. Stop being negative, stop being front runners and enjoy what the KD era has brought to Akron....a consistent winning program. Instead of having the teams back some of you are the first to start pointing fingers when things get tough....do us all a favor, keep your insecure, finger pointing comments to yourself or at least off this board.

Big Dog was clearly the MVP. Let's see if that holds up for the entire weekend.

Y'all need to have some faith! Don't doubt or count the Zips out until the fat lady has sung. Don't be so quick to jump the gun that they would've lost.

But we have to remember... 1) We also had a title stolen away from us with a bad clock operator and a banked in 3. 2) We blew a huge 2nd half lead against WMU two years ago, with an unbelievable comeback. 3) We lost to OU in 2010 in overtime for another title. 4) We lost to OU in 2012 when a technical should have been called on the Bobcats for grabbing the rim on a missed FT with a few seconds left. I'll take the good breaks with the bad.

I did my part, crossing the right leg then crossing the left. Finally found the winning formula by rubbing my dog's ear.

Congrats to the team and the fans who didn't actually give up during the game. I continue to lose years of my life from stress by watching the MAC tourney. On to tomorrow where we will play better.

Not ONE single Big Dog move to the basket is ever resulting in a 3-point play. That can't be. I can count about 3 times already that it surely should have been an "And ONE"

I feel people have their own preconceived conclusions about which teams they like and they use whatever metric that they can find to support their claim. There certainly is no shortage of them out there.

I know most on this board talk about Akrons RPI but it seems ESPN and probably the selection committee is using BPI. I'm not sure how Akron stacks up in that department but I'm guessing it's not in the 30's.

Is this the last time we played them in the tourney? Between all of the Directional Michigan games in the tourney (Western most notably), it's hard to remember.

That's the bottom line, and the point I have been trying to make from the beginning. But even when you start breaking things down further, including common opponent, most everything comes up in Akron's favor anyway.

Saying that the MAAC is simply just "not very good" compared to the MAC is the understatement of the year. Monmouth's conference SOS is 239 and Akron's is 121. Clark, you also missed that Monmouth lost to their conference champ TWICE, and one of them was a blowout loss at home. Yes, that was the same Iona team that we beat handily in Vegas.

I don't see the need to criticize. The man is just trying to get his sons name out to different colleges. He doesn't know if anyone that visits this forum has any pull with the football staff to get them to watch tape of a player. Perhaps the kid pans out, perhaps he doesn't. We don't know this guys story or what kind of father he is. We shouldn't judge.
