Beating OSU would be a nice consolation prize, but I'd take us being in the tourney over that any day!1 point

I know that this view is not popular but if we cannot beat Buffalo in our back yard we really do not belong in the NCAA tournament. We got beat by some bad teams in conference play that did not make it to the final four or to Cleveland. I think if we had a 30 win season we may have had an argument. We need to beat Buffalo to earn our way into the tournament. Go Zips!1 point

Maybe Akron will get more consideration for at-larges once they join the ACC1 point

We also need to control the tempo of this game. Buffalo ran OU ragged last night and found open shot after open shot. If we want Big Dog to be the difference maker we need to control the pace.1 point

These two are all you need to say. We need a good shooting night, and need to find a way to get Boards, because our personnel vs. their personnel is a bad matchup for us in the rebounding dept. But I will tell you why OU couldn't rebound. They don't have a rebounding team to begin with, and they allow Campbell to fire 3-pointers out there on the perimeter all night. I think that's really stupid. ........P - S1 point

I think there are three keys to tonight's game, two of which have already been identified on this board. 1) Make your shots, specifically from beyond the arc. If there was ever a game we needed our "bombs away" style of play to be executed properly, it's this one. 2) Rebound. Rebound. Rebound. Bobcatattack talked about how Canada killed them on the boards last night. 3) Bench points. This can't be a one-person effort tonight (Big Dog has been that main person recently). Bobcatattack mentioned that their bench was outscored 25-8 (if I'm not mistaken). We have a relatively deep rotation, all things considered, but they can't just be bodies tonight. We need contributions from every player. An Honorable Mention key to tonight's game: the crowd. Akron fans need to be LOUD. I HATE the BU-FF-AL-O chant almost as much as I hate "WE ARE (clap clap) CAN'T STATE" and "O (clap clap clap) H (clap clap clap) I (clap clap clap) O (clap clap clap)". I want to drown the Canadians out. This Akron team can get this done. I believe in the team and in Dambrot. Canada knocked us out last year and eventully went Dancing. Let's make sure the only Dancing shoes collecting dust in the closet are their's. LET'S GO ZIPS! BEAT CANADA, EH?! Z-I...1 point

The Bulls don't have Noah. They don't have Jake. They don't have Reggie. And they don't have Big Dog. ( I know I left out a few). Yeah, SUNY Canada looked good last night but Ohio was on fumes. Big Dog played only 25 minutes. And Jimond and Aaron are fresh. We got this one!1 point

They should. I believe this is the second year they've been wearing "New York" on their chests.1 point

Buffalo looked really good last night and if we are going to get to the big dance we are going to have to earn it. KD had really relied on a 7 man rotation and I wonder if we will be fresh tonight to stay with Buffalo. We have not played our best game and we will need that tonight to win. Last night I saw Reggie drive on his man forcing somebody to come over to the lane and Reggie hit the open man. We need to drive on this team to create some open looks. Big Dog has carried the Zips and we will need him to have a big game. Kwan has been a little off on his offensive game and would love to see him hit double figures. Josh was a non factor last night. If he is hurt would like to see Jimond get some more time. He is our most athletic player and not sure why KD keeps him on the bench. Everyone on the team needs to rebound if we are going to win this one. Looking forward to the game tonight. Go Zips!!1 point

Tonight's game had a weird feel to it. We never could really pull away with it, but even still, it never felt like it was in doubt. They had no answer for Big Dog. I feel like I type that every game. Lots of Zip fans there, maybe the most on a Friday, at least form what I can remember. Fun atmosphere. Gonna have to do a better job on the boards tomorrow night to get to the Dance.1 point

Especially when he drilled about a 35 yard goal against Michigan in the semis to tie that game up before the half.1 point

best article that I have seen about Perry and his new team. I will always remember the poise, the composure, the instincts and the toughness that this young man showed for the Zips in 2010. Perry will always remembered as a gigantic reason why the zips got their first star. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/2016/03/11/perry-kitchen-looks-to-find-recipe-for-success-at-hearts/1 point

I'm not denying the fact that the MAC doesn't give basketball the same attention that it gives football, but at the same time I don't see an easy way of fixing the TV situation. The MAC has a niche in football with the midweek games because for the most part the B1G, SEC, PAC-12, and all other conferences play the bulk of their games on Saturday and the NFL plays their games on Sunday with only 1 Monday and 1 Thursday game. People watch because they have an itch for football and its' the only thing on. You would be hard pressed to find a night of the week that didn't feature at least 30 basketball games between college basketball and the NBA. I'm not absolving them of blame as there are things that need improving. They need to start by getting their showcase tournament to air on an actual cable station for all games Thursday-Saturday. TWCSN is not acceptable as it eliminates any fan that has dish or another cable provider from watching. ESPN would be a stretch for anything besides the Final and perhaps semis, but there are a host of other options FSN, FS1, FS2, CBSSN, NBCSN just to name a few. I should be able to walk into a sports bar and ask them to turn the game on and not have them tell me sorry we don't carry that station.1 point

I hope he continues to develop & have fun playing football. But the odds of him (or anyone) getting a D-1 scholarship are slim-to-none. Just my 2 cents, but I wouldn't put too much additional pressure on him. Right now he looks like he weighs 80 pounds. There is a big high school around here named Canton McKinley. McK produces quite a few college athletes. McK's head football coach said, "If you want to play college football, I can help you with that. If you want to play D-1 college football, God has to help you with that." Some kids are blessed with great genes; the vast majority aren't.1 point

Spring ball starts next Monday! Will our credentialed members of ZN.o be covering any of it? I sure don't expect to hear anything from the ABJ. Going to try to catch the scrimmages at least myself. I've got the itch!1 point
