No, I'm defending the selection committee's selections as I have agreed with them. You have solely been targeting 1 school, which is why I have defended it. I'm on record as saying an 11-1 OSU from the 2015-2016 college football season wasn't 1 of the 4 most deserving and the committee made the right decision to leave them out. What I have found to be consistent is your inability to be objective when it comes to anything OSU related. If I actually cared enough I could go back through your posts on this forum and find at least 50 posts of you ragging on OSU in just the last year alone. You've probably made reference to an ancient Cardale Jones tweet 10-20 times alone. OSU could go 14-1 and lose in the national championship game and you will come up with some tin foil hat excuse for why they shouldn't have been there. Edit: Actually even worse OSU had a season where they DID go 14-1 and won the national championship and you are still arguing they weren't one of the 4 best teams therefore shouldn't have been in the playoffs. Do you honestly believe yourself or are you just trolling?2 points

I'll believe it when I see it. You only show up for K.e.nt. & Ohio. I'm actually shocked you even knew the Zips had a game tonight.1 point

Of course Akron waits until after I completely cut my cable, therefore have no access to ESPN3, before moving away from those online streams.1 point

I've had several people ask me about the pickem site so I wanted to get this post up for anyone wondering. Long story short, my webhost stopped supporting the database program I use to run the pickem site. I keep thinking I will get around to educating myself enough to re-do it and get it up and running, but I've finally accepted that it just isn't going to happen. With 3 young kids, a demanding job and coaching & administering youth sports...I just can't find the time. As some of you know, the site started as a college project 15 years ago. I was a dual MIS/Accounting major, and my career went the accounting route. Because of that, my programming skills are severely outdated and limited but as long as my archaic crotchety old website worked I kept running it. The timing was not ideal, the migration hit just a few weeks ago leaving a short window. I'm hopeful I can get to it over the coming year and come back in 2018 with a revamped site, and we can view Pick Em 2017 like we do MLB 1994. I apologize for not having it up and running and thank those of you who have played over the years.1 point

Too bad this wasn't in place in time for the stellar Adrian game. Instant classic material there.1 point

Curious to see BGSU guard Antwon Lillard. He's the kid who was a standout at Cleveland Central Catholic who had a monster dunk in the last minute of the state championship game but got t'd up for hanging on the rim, resulting in tech free throws and the eventual loss of the game in OT. Always felt a little bad for the kid. http://highschoolsports.cleveland.com/news/article/-6951888627710125408/central-catholics-antwon-lillard-says-he-hung-on-rim-after-late-dunk-against-defiance-to-protect-himself/1 point

Whoa now, hold up for a second there. You know and I know that if you are running the Air Raid the TE isn't going to get much use. That's because in the Air Raid there aren't any on the field. Hell, Washington State and Texas Tech don't even have a TE on the roster. I don't think you can really say we are running the Air Raid anymore. We are trying to run some variation of the Baylor offense and don't have the personnel to run it. When Dalton Williams was here in 2012 we didn't see any TE's on the field and now we have a TE on the field for half of the plays we run. Most of the time, they never even run a route. They are just there to be an extra blocker. That's why I knew when everyone was going ga-ga over MTB switching to TE and winning his award and all that jazz that happened in summer camp and how great it was going to be was nothing a bunch of malarkey. We had a bonafide stud of a TE here in 2015 that didn't do diddly-squat for crying out loud. Using MTB in short yardage was great. I applaud the staff for utilizing him in that manner, but to say that his success in that role means that we utilize the TE position well is like applauding Cody Grice's DT play because he got a lot of first downs.1 point

Hopefully we can pull a decent crowd tonight with it being the start of MAC play and Dambrot being in a position to set the Zips all-time wins mark.1 point

I commend you for acknowledging that this back and forth is going nowhere. But you're still missing the point. I have my own opinions about why teams should/shouldn't be in, just like every other sports fan. But my biggest beef is simply that the committee clearly changes what is, or is not an important criteria, based on which teams they want to have in the playoff during any particular year.1 point

Have heard his name all season and thought the same thing. Imagine having he, JoJo, and Jerome as targets.1 point

You guys should know well enough that high TE usage is not a product of our offense. Comparing the usage to a pro style offense like Wisconsin's is ridiculous. Where has the complaining been every other year...especially the Dalton Williams year that everyone loves bringing up? Do yourselves a favor and look at WVU, OK St, Wazzu, and TX Tech's TE usage and come back to me. Those are the offensive systems ours is modeled after. Actually I'll save you guys the time and just let you know that they are all very similar to ours. I get it...you are disappointed with the season and want to find anything you can to complain about. I get it....we have supposed talent at the position. So much talent that the player and all his stars and offers had to switch positions to get playing time. The fact that the coaching staff found ways to get creative with him, successfully I might add, should be praised.1 point

Washington won the PAC-12 North Division, and the PAC-12 Championship Game. No argument there.1 point

Correct. Because they are the team that shouldn't have be in, and proved it on Saturday. I'm not a Penn State fan either, just so you know.1 point

Aurora LB Bubba Arslanian was also named 1st-Team D. I'm really hoping we get a verbal from him. He's simply a wrecking ball and I've seen where he's wrestling in the 220 lb. weight class now. Not that he weighs 220, but he wouldn't weigh much less.1 point

Thank you all the work you've done over the years to keep all of us MAC basketball fans entertained. When I tried to log onto the site the other day and saw that it had gone away I was disappointed. I hope that you find the time and energy to bring it back soon.1 point
