Just FYI, we (ZNO forum) aren't as online famous as we would like to think. Wife and I showed up the game; we have lot 9 parking pass Walk to first tent: "Where can we find ZNO tailgaters?" [BLANK STARE] "You know, the online zips forum.... zips nation.org...." [CRICKETS] Repeat at 2 other tents... Maybe we just asked the wrong groups but where do y'all set up the ZNO tailgate? Do you have any particular flag/banner that distinguishes the spot as ZNO folk? We'd like to come by next game and introduce ourselves.

The percentage of posters in the parking lot is very low. At least posters who would admit being posters. I remember the first time I ventured into Lot 9. By my recollection, my brother-in-law and I made the walk over from our tailgate in Lot 34 to see how the other half lived. I had recently joined the forum and as fortune shined upon me that day, the first person I talk to turns out to be none other than Captain Kangaroo, who introduced me to Dr. Z, ZipsWin!, 2Ball and JZ84. Later on I met ZG01. Add to this a bunch of other guys who aren't posters and the rest is history. I walked over for the rest of 2010 to visit but I needed to get into that lot because I couldn't miss out on that kind of a good time any longer. 2011 was the first year with a Lot 9 pass and my goodness have we had some fun times. I really miss some of the players' familes, though. When the Pohls, Switzers, Caponis, Hundleys, Pauls and Rossis were all kicking it in the lot, it was probably the most fun time ever. CDMac, you might just get bitten by the tailgating bug and get hooked too.

Well we do currently have a RB committed with offers from Akron, Army, BG, Buffalo, FAU, Illinois, Louisville, Minnesota, USF, Syracuse, UAB and a WR committed with offers from Akron, Boston College, Cincinnati, Kent State, Miami, Toledo

Yeah thanks, I forgot all about the corner boards. Assuming those will be used for stats and whatnot as they seem pretty narrow but perhaps they're a little more wide in person. We better have someone capable of putting some good programming together and getting timely replays up there now.

If Akron had an offensive coordinator and head coach that could muster a clue between them, the Zips could win out. Running the offense the way we do will get you wins versus the dregs of the conference, but if you want to beat good teams, you can't let the defense get set and basically say to them "You guys ready? Got your breath? Ok, we're gonna snap the ball if you're ready. Ok. Ready, set, go!" Milwee's situational play calling blows anyway, so just script the entire game. Snap the ball as fast as you can, while the other team's fat ass linemen have their hands on their hips sucking wind. That's a sure way to slow down the pass rush and make our offensive line's run blocking job a lot easier. Keep pulling Ritz and I guarantee the tired, wind sucking ugly dudes down the line from him are gonna get real sick of getting ear holed. Tempo could solve so many issues. It's not hard to figure out. And when trying to recruit offensive talent, do you think talented high schoolers want to come to a program that plays balls out or one that plays the "check with me" game and then has to burn timeouts because we are befuddled? I think I know the answer to that question! I know, we want to be known for defense. Well, wish in one hand! You are going to be able to get the best defensive players you can get independent of the offense you run. People watch football for offense! If this wasn't true, rule changes wouldn't favor the offense! Football fans like to watch scoring, if they didn't they'd be over at Cub Cadet! Of course, I reserve the right to be wrong, eat crow and apologize for my comments. Go Zips! Beat Western!
