OMG! Maybe the Zips have to lobby the MAC to have games played on 'the day of rest'. JUST KIDDING! Knock me over with a feather! This is definitely a signature win for Bowden!. Now just win the East!2 points

I certainly did not foresee the D holding them to 13. The defensive staff deserves a lot of credit for having the kids ready to play and they sure did show a lot of heart. The stats were not pretty but stats are for losers. Hooray for Coach Amato and staff.2 points

I'm just so happy because this was the first game this year where we got a result that was really unexpected, and it was in our favor. Sitting all alone at the top of the standings is pretty unexpected too. I'll enjoy this for a week.2 points

Listening to the post-game show on WARF, they made it sound like TB could have said the team could not stay until Sunday but that TB was adamant that he wanted to play this game. Hat's off to everyone who made it possible for the team to stay and pull of this major win. There had to be a ton of logistics that made this possible.1 point

Especially with all of the other crap that happened. Getting ready to play yesterday, then getting bused back out to 2 different cities to find hotels, then returning to Kalamazoo again this morning and repeating everything all over again.1 point

I can see us getting both the BG and OU monkeys off our back this season. OU will be tough no doubt, but they haven't impressed me their last 3 games now.1 point

I suppose the "Fire Bowden" talk stops for a week, with a 3-0 record and sole possession of first place. Who would have thought that we could take this defense, and hold a team to 13 pts. that was scoring 41 per game. Amazing that we didn't score for 3-1/2 quarters, and still won that game.1 point

Listened to game driving back home. When I arrived home, sat in the driveway with motor running head on the steering wheel...listening to the last few minutes. Just amazed we won with defense.1 point

Hell of a win. I could be doing a lot of "told ya so's" right now based on the WMU talk in the off season, but I'll hold my breath and let you grumps enjoy this win (if you have it in you). At least they played USC close though Go 'effin Zips!!!!1 point

After that pick, WMU seems afraid of their own passing game. If we can force enough 3rd and 5's or more, we will contain them.1 point

This is going to test our kids but they look up to the challenge so far. Playing with good energy. Need to flip field position but guys playing hard.1 point

Nice Defensive stand by the zips, twice now. Offense needs to make something happen here. Put WMU on their heels. PLEASE.1 point

I'm willing to bet it will be streaming on the MAC website, or Akron Website or WMU website or a combination of those. That's my prediction at this point...1 point

Skye Harter did an outstanding job on corner kicks tonight. The young man from Copley has improved tremendously during his time at Akron.1 point

We have dissected CP for decades now, some since before he came to Akron. We know he has warts; he is not perfect. He can be annoyingly stubborn. Arrogant. We also know that CP is a natural, perhaps even gifted, leader of men. He is passionate about soccer, in the very essence of that word. USSF could do much worse than Caleb Porter.1 point
