Maybe we all ought to just focus on winning on Sunday...and keep on winning after that It would be nice to get several more home games, after not having the MAC tournament here.

All I meant is that it would be deserved if WMU's RPI rank is 4 or higher. I agree that they might still not get a top 4 seed but could be difficult to skip over depending upon who the other potential top 4 seeds are. Looking at current RPI, it's not likely that WMU's will be 4 or better. So, this is probably a moot discussion anyway. As you stated, I don't see an "unknown" MAC Tourney Champion getting a top 4 seed [without a top 4 RPI]. You mean Akron won?? I was checking the video feed intermittently, saw the clock down to 2 minutes with the Zips down 1-0, and then the next time I checked the video feed was blank, so I just assumed they lost ... Came here to commiserate. Very glad to learn I was wrong!!!

Back to back games on ESPN2? Probably the only thing that would make this weeknight crap worth it. It sucks so much to be relegated to streaming on ESPN3. Man, we really need to get a win here. Hopefully the team can pull a miracle out of their collective asses.

Zips need to stick with short and intermediate range passing along the ground (IMHO)

That would create some drama, and would certainly attract some press coverage and fan interest. That's exactly what we need.

players today have no idea how to tackle...in my opinion the smaller shoulder pads lead to players using their heads...they launch like missles rather than break down & wrap...i recently watched the 1994 MNF game between denver ( elway) & kc (montana)...steve atwater should be teaching players how to tackle....eddie johnson of the browns too...one of my all time favs...massive pads that he used to tackle...now they all have what were qb pads when i played

I understand your thinking but this isn’t supporting your team, most are bashing, all I’m saying is let’s go to the game & support, not sit on couch & watch on ESPN, don’t take personally if you can’t make the game but if you can let’s go, let’s win the East, it’s still in front of us & we still control our own destiny i get it, it doesn’t look good & the team that played Tuesday couldn’t beat their way out of a wet paper sack but they was going through some adversity, Woodson wasn’t the only one, I know everyone notices the QB I’m going & cheering for a win regardless

Skip, Here's the deal. Akron has looked lackluster this season at best. The offense has sputtered at best. The defense has been opportunistic and gotten themselves out of jams at best. Tell me one instance where the Zips looked even remotely sharp this year. I know you are going all Jesse Jackson on us and wanting us to keep hope alive, but keep hope alive based on what? Do you enjoy disappointment? Seriously. I am asking seriously. I want the Zips to win so bad I can taste it. I eff'n hate Ohio. I work with a dickhead Ohio grad who puts me through a week or two of Ohio fan douchebag Hell every time we lose to those sons of dogs. But thrilled to be in the position? Not even close, Skip. How do you do it?

I think you have it in the right context. I would expect people to believe that OU is better than us right now. But I wouldn't expect people to ignore the recent history of the OU/UA game, the unpredictable nature of the MAC East, and focus on one loss (Miami on Tuesday) as an indicator of how much "hope" we should have next Tuesday. With everything we've been through as Zips fans in recent years, we should all be thrilled to be in this position.
