  1. E-man is supposed to get medical clearance to go back to full contact practice this week. He is hitting the weight room hard to put back the muscle mass he lost during his time off. At this time the future looks bright.

  3. After searching I notice that there has not been ANY update since January on this board about Emmanuel's health condition. However, about a month or six weeks ago, I noticed a video from the university which featured an interview with E-Man. I think I originally found it on Twitter -- but I don't think it was produced by the MBB staff. I'll continue trying to find it, but the intro to the short (maybe 2 minute) clip detailed the medical situation with Emmanuel, and noted that it was not a congenital or chronic heart problem, but rather a clot caused by a piece of tissue that detached form the area around his heart valve (best as I can remember). It described how it became apparent when E-Man partially lost his vision during the game prior to the surgery. This loss of vision somehow was the tip-off to doctors about the nature of his problem, and they knew how to treat it medically. So, the apparent good news is that the doctors don't expect a likelihood of any continuing problems associated with this specific occurrence, and I guess it means he's able to continue playing and conditioning as before January's surgery, and it shouldn't effect his long-term health I hope I'm properly restating what I listened to on the video -- given my non-medical background. I'm surprised that no one has ever linked it on here! Did anyone else see this??

  8. Based upon our 2018 recruiting class, I'm not worried at all about 2019's. I might be worried about our defense in 2019...but not the recruiting class.

  9. For those looking for specific player evals, one of those picks came from the DE position by Justin Sampson. He was upfield so fast and into the throwing lane before Ramart knew what had happened. Definitely a coaching point for the QB to adjust the flight of the ball to go over/around a charging-up-the-field DE which we saw Ramart do on another play last week. Chalk that one up to "helluva defensive play" but "need to protect the ball better". I agree that defense is usually ahead of the offense this time of year and TB mentioned this in the interview with Joe Dunn as well.

  10. Two weeks ago, I was shooting next to a starting corner who wasn't playing at the time. He was calling out each play to the corner that was playing. I think the defense has seen our offense enough to recognize a lot of the plays. I forgot to mention last week that I noticed some misdirection, and more motion in the offense than I remember. Looking forward to Saturday.

  11. BTW, to avoid misconceptions, as I recall DeA did not leave Sunderland by his own choice. He was on loan to Sunderland from Tottenham. It was Tottenham that made the deal with NUFC.

  12. I heard that the coaching position that was posted was Ger Coppinger’s. I understand that since his Visa had to be renewed, the position had to be posted. Great news...he is staying.
