  1. I had the opportunity to interview Jabari Arthur last week prior to his UA Hall of Fame induction. Here's how it went: Jabari Arthur Interview Thanks as always to Dr. Z for the layout.

  2. Not quite the same, but we did raise a Zips flag from Akron fans at our tailgate before the Iowa State game. It flew during the tailgate and all through the game until its rightful owners (folks from ZipsNation) came and got it.

  4. I don't know what the rules are on # of games you can play but both us and UIC had 17 games scheduled. I just checked Western Michigan and they have 18 games so that shouldn't be an issue. Let's get this scheduled per Zip_ME87's suggestion!

  5. Thanks for the nice comments. It's great that many of you liked it. I got the call that Jabari would be available to interview at 4 pm on Thursday. So I had about an hour after work to brush up on his career and generate some questions before I drove down to Akron. I almost didn't do it. It would have been a huge mistake not to go. I was able to get 6 minutes of his time prior to his radio interview. When he was done with the segment, he spoke to me for another 25 minutes. I offered a couple times for him to go eat his dinner, but he declined. He seemed genuinely excited to tell his story. When we were done we went back to the dinner table near the bar and someone had covered his meal with a plate to try and keep it warm. He's a super person. It was really uplifting to speak to him and I'm glad I could convey his enthusiasm for UA in the story.

  6. They'll wear them November 10th versus YSU for the Coaches -v- Cancer game. Clark's right, we wear them when we play BSU at home. We only wear them two, maybe three times a year.

  7. I know they've always tried to work them in when Danny Peters was here with Ball State, in honor of his dad, but the Zips only play at Ball State this year.

  9. Disappointed in the cancellation. Was hoping to get a home and away sweep of ND, like we did against Mich St.

  10. I do not know much if anything about QB mechanics, but inconsistent accuracy almost always points to a problem with form or mechanics. I wo der if he has ever received much of any instruction apart from his father?

  11. Per Crains… Terry Bowden is paid less than 120 other coaches. The only coaches whose pay is lower are Coastal Carolina's Joe Moglia ($400,000) and Louisiana-Monroe's Matt Viator ($390,000). Terry Bowden, No. 12 in the MAC, No. 121 overall: $412,500 compensation; $225,000 max bonus; $50,000 bonus received in 2017-18; $688,500 buyout. As an aside, the MAC's 12 coaches have a combined 2018 compensation of $6,519,534 — $1,080,466 lower than the pay Urban Meyer was due prior to his suspension.

  15. I mean, when you hastily cut programs while adding official video-gaming competition teams...you're kinda inviting/deserve/warrant this kind of rambling criticism.
