Good news - I haven't been able to run a scenario where the Zips lose any tiebreakers for the fourth seed if they finish 10-8. Bad news - if either KSU or CMU wins two of their final three, the fourth seed possibility is non-existent. Edit - I found one - Akron, CMU, Miami and EMU all finish 10-8, Akron loses the four seed to CMU.

WOW! Two events, two firsts, two meet records, two MAC records, two Ocasek records. In the 200 Medley relay Sadie Fazekas, Paula Garcia, Sarah Watson and Raven Engel won by breaking their old record and hitting the “A” standard time for the NCAA. Then in the 800 Freestyle relay it was Avery Movold, Paulina Nogaj, Watson and Ellie Nebraska beating the MAC and meet record by over 3seconds and the Ocasek record by over 6 seconds! Miami started the strongest but Nogaj caught them in the second leg and Watson pulled away. 80 points - Thursday should be fun.

What a horrible moment that was. Such a quick, deflating goal. Then Perry Kitchen yelled SNIPER and sent the equalizer in from Akron, OH.

Post of the year. Or the past few, really. I, for one, visit the site to read about Akron sports. Period. I'm not interested in a case study on the Dunning-Kruger effect. If posters are so ductile as to be stupefied with how "welcoming" Liberty is, nothing's keeping you here. Have fun. As some dead guy once said, its better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than open it and remove all doubt. To (Please) get back on topic... If Liberty wants to pony up major bucks for us to show up and house them, cool. Our 2019 schedule is excellent. Roadtrip worthy game in Champaign in August? Beautiful. Out of conference games against Troy and UAB at home are awesome. Homecoming against Kent State? What could possibly be better? And to top it off, Buffalo and OU at home. Hopefully we're good in 2019. If so, it should be a really fun year. YSU @ Akron in 2020? That'll be a blast. Can't wait!

The effort they give each game tells me this team believes in themselves. I'm excited for Cleveland.

The fact that we are getting so pissed at losses and are expecting wins tells me that we believe in the team.

It's wonderful that those 2 teams are so highly regarded. However, if the rest of the league = MLS, then the competition is no better than MLS except perhaps when those teams play each other. Personally, I'm not excited about Wil Trapp potentially going to Celtic.

We try not to trigger his PTSD.

It's still February. Did you guys really expect for them to start marketing the MAC tournament already? We'll probably hear about any promotions the week of the tournament.
