Ryan Prather Jr departs. Zips add Bowen Hardman. Note: Prather was the sole Sophomore on the team going into 2024-25. Now we have Seniors, Juniors and Freshmen only. In 2025-26 we have Seniors and Sophomores. 2026-27 Juniors only. 2027-28 Seniors only. I think it's safe to assume that this class balance will likely change again next year.

I still think there is value in recruiting high school players. Even if there is less of a priority compared to previous years. At the end of the day there is still a finite amount of NIL money that we can spend and we can only promise so many transfers playing time. I also think the caliber of incoming freshmen that we can attract becomes greater as more and more P6 programs specifically look to recruit transfers instead of high school recruits. Therefore high school players that previously were playing in the Big 10 or Big East are now going to find their way into conferences like the MAC or MVC. The reality is no program is running a 13 man rotation. Spending 2-3 of those 13 scholarships looking for your next Enrique Freeman, Ali, Tribble, etc IMO is worth it. It also allows you to build relationships that way you can recruit those players again in a year or two when they're looking to transfer again.

Awesome. I recall Lingard talking pretty highly of his experience at Akron later last season. Testament that it’s better to transfer to a school like Akron to show your capabilities rather than rot away on the bench at P5.

So in a rebuilding year the Zips added two transfers from WVU, one from NC, one from OSU and another from Cornell. While also bringing in the top high school basketball player in the state of West Virginia? I'm so ready for this.

Was really impressed by the whole scene today. Great weather, good crowd and some good football. Loved having the band there too, great atmosphere. Glad they had the pro shop and concessions open also. Football wasn’t perfect but really hard to tell where they are at this point.

And here the three combinations are tweaked to appear the same, but the line weights are different. I suggest someone take this advice to heart.
