Cancel school please!!

you can't just skip classes because you still have tests, quizzes, etc that you have to go in for. then you have to remember that the middle of campus is a fucking wind tunnel. i think there's a bit of a problem when the snow line tells you to cover your piercings to avoid frostbite. this is the coldest weather i've ever been in, and i am not looking forward to my walk to practice at 7, then to and from my class in polsky. -
ok, glad to hear he didn't leave

hey, does anyone know what happened to bardo? i don't remember seeing much of him during pregame warmp-ups etc. he's still around right?
-
i don't think her post went over our heads as much as we chose to ignore it. this is a zips board after all

that's why they say DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!

That's the way it was when the JAR opened, and I believe capacity was about 7,000 back then. What really makes it look small time is seeing the wall behind the baskets. If those seats just went right on to the top, it would help. But then you lose the track in the upper deck.If the Ohio General Assembly wouldn't have cut the funds, we would have had the 12,000 theatre seats that was originally planned. from my understanding, the jar originally seated around 7,000 people because the seats were only 10" wide. sorry but i have an ass bigger than 10".

hey bleacher, i saw you down there too. it was nice to have both sides chanting on time and i'm sure you won't mind if i credit that to you

don't forget about andre walker who stepped in for dk when he was injured. we might see more out of him.

there is a program already and it has been very effective for some people and not so effective for others. there's only so much you can "make" someone do, and if they don't want to show up and try in their classes you can't do anything about that. for example, you can require them to sit down and study for how ever many hours they are assigned but come test day, you can't make them try their best on the test. i don't know dantley's details, nor would i share them if i did. he always seemed like a nice guy to me and hopefully things workout for him.

ok adding a anti-antirowdy facebook group is a little over the top don't you think? i say let it go and focus your time and energy on cheering at the game

i've actually been waiting with hope for a free benie hat or new t-shirt.
-
if it wasn't so crowded at half time i could have gotten a pic with my phone of the person wearing the yellow rowdies t-shirt with a white hat that had a little red "o" on it (and said suckeyes on the back)

This is EXACTLY how you sell tickets and get attendance, and that's what is all about in the end.Don't forget Mack has people below him that are supossed to be working on this. lol... no tickets needed to see us in action but like i said, i don't know exactly how things should be run from the business stand point, but i will agree that attendance and fan base needs a lot of help.
-
no, i understand where they are coming from. unless you are leading the group you probably don't have the details on why they are doing things the way they are. then to come out here and see people bashing something you're working really hard to promote is discouraging. i'll continue to politely agree to disagree and sit above with the non rowdies i bring to the game.
-
lol...i had a chuckle about that at the meeting too. overall i expected a bit more at the meeting. i was bummed about the can't ticket thing because i know i can't make that time commitment and i have practice tonight until 6:30 so i wouldn't be able to use the blue pass either. also i was disappointed with the response to the shirt issue, but i understand a bit better why that is. maybe next year things will change and relax a bit. learn from the mistakes made this year...

i see a lot of mack bashing out here and i keep my mouth shut. i find it somewhat upsetting to see so many people dissatisfied with him because as a student athlete i love the guy. he is friendly and easy going and actually cares about you as a person. after having to discuss some stuff with him he asked about school, the season, and my family. compared to mack, mike thomas was a stiff and kind of cold. i'm going to admit that i don't know about the business end of things and about making the fans and student support happy. maybe mike is better with that and his organization etc. i'm just saying as an athlete i'm glad to have mack as our ad and i like his priorities and his vision for the athletic department. now that i've gotten that off my chest, i'll shut my mouth again.

i didn't even see my favorite team on the list

yeah but that's not really fair to say because we all know now that texas didn't deserve it's ranking...i dunnoi said before the game that i wanted osu to lose by at least 4 td's...lo and behold! i was close. this stuff of ohio winning 8/10 or whatever is garbage because florida came out ready to fight and where was troy? wasn't it something like 4 for 18? plus an int and a fumble that both lead to scores. if it was a closer game and not a complete blowout, then maybe i could agree a little. i feel that i don't look like a whiner because i have absolutely nothing to do with osu except direct competition with them. they are the closest school to us and we compete against them every year.on a side note: flying back to akron last night, my flight into cleveland was packed with osu fans. i saw so much red i wanted to puke. anyways there was a lot of "gator fans are white trash hillbillies" jokes going around and THAT made them sound like nothing more than poor losers. i also took great pride (and raised my voice a bit so people could hear) in telling the nice guy next to me about how we stomped osu when he asked about my rifle jacket and akron's program.

that's only because we don't have the spectator room to accomadate all of our fans down in the range
-
and what does any of this have to do with the zips?
-
then why are you always out here talking about ysu
-
yeah it's so nice i can see the other hoops raised above the seating looks nothing more than a big practice gym.

i'm sure enguins will be there let's all go bird hunting
