  1. Still up in the air someone on here posted yesterday.
  2. Thanks for people like you and @Blue & Gold for spreading the fandom. It's challenging for me to get my friends to go to an Akron game that's not Kent or the MAC Tournament and those friends I try to get to go are Akron grads.
  3. I assumed next weekend probably wasn't in play. That's fine, it looks good quality and is at a fair price. Besides the profits are reinvested in the team. I don't mind keeping it in my closet until next fall if need be.
  4. How long did it take for you to receive the vest?
  5. Hate to see them go, but I'm sure we'll reload in the offseason. If we keep Young and Eric that should give is two nice pieces to build around.
  6. Thanks for sharing, order placed.
  7. That's what happens with today's sports analysis. Just a bunch of over reactions and hot takes to generate views and interactions. He's never even made the tournament, let alone won a tournament game. That's with him coaching 4 years in the Big East. He's a good coach, but not sure how anyone can remotely think he's in the top 10.
  8. I think TJ, Suder, and Gillespie are 3 locks for 1st team All-MAC. There is a lot of competition for those last 2 spots. TJ I have to think gets POY. If I had to guess Gillespie gets DPOY. Evan should receive votes. Scott certainly is in the running and perhaps favorite for 6th man. Not 100% certain who all qualifies.
  9. Had Akron beat Yale and Miami we would probably be in a similar spot to where Belmont is at currently. Solidly on the bubble line.
  10. Honestly, a win might save Boals job. It would be that big of a win for OU.
  11. Yes, this is the likely correct answer. Especially once you consider this is football so it automatically attracts 10x the number of eyeballs compared to basketball.
  12. For me it's because basketball is clearly the distant 3rd sport behind both football and hockey. WMU I don't see investing in both basketball and hockey given the overlapping seasons. CMU and EMU basketball is still the #2 sport. They just aren't good. CMU might be on the up as their new coach is at least showing progress. I won't dispute banishing all 3.
  13. Let's vote off WMU next.
  14. A rising tide lifts all ships.
  15. I'm similarly worried given how few close games we've played and won this year.
  16. As I posted before, last year the MAC posted its schedule on March 5th. It seems premature to jump to any conclusions.
  17. This is literally the MAC SZN thread meaning this would be where we would talk about Miami and other MAC schools. If you don't want to discuss other MAC teams that's fine, but you probably should just stay out of this thread.
  18. To be honest I've only watched 3 or 4 Miami games all season. I can't really weigh in on the games I haven't seen. I do know a few of their close games they came from behind in and others they were up and protecting the lead. If you're trailing, you foul. If you're up you don't. I'm not invested enough to go back and look at the boxscores for each game to see which were which.
  19. And before that they bragged about attendance numbers. When you haven't made it to the Big Dance in nearly half a century you have to find something to boast about.
  20. 4 is a lot when you only play 9 home games in total during conference play. Not saying it makes up the full +107, but it does represent a chunk.
  21. Yes, Miami also plays in a lot more close games where they're ahead. I feel you would need to subtract end of game FTs where opposing team is intentionally fouling to extend the game to give this any context. In a lot of our match-ups, like last night, we're up double figures with <1 minutes so the opposing team doesn't bother trying to extend the game.
  22. Rafters at the JAR are getting full anyways. Save the space for more NCAA Tournament banners.
  23. Akron definitely can play at a higher ceiling. Miami is still very good. Probably the best MAC team we faced in the tournament since the Oats UB team. If we bring our B game and they play their A game they can and likely win. If we match their level of play we should come out on top IMO.
  24. One would have to remember even if he does return will he be in form? Can he give UB 30 - 35 minutes of quality production? Against us he came off the bench and he didn't get a full work load.
  25. It feels dirty rooting for Ohio.
