Zips arent in the top 8. How do they get to Cleveland?

No. They all ready wrapped up. Some more than others.

That's what I'm hearing as well and now the Zips IF. all these teams get there will be #3. seed no matter what happen in games tomorrow.

Speaking of weird, how would we be feeling tonight if the Zips had won the regular season and were faced once again with not playing in the tournament? Blessings in disguise.

If its the Zips incredibly disappointing. But time to pull the plug.

Sounds like its a BG/Miami issue. Akron should be fine for tournament. Played BG a week ago. MAC should have ended the regular season last Friday. Then force the top 8 teams to bubble. Stupid.

The rules and format of that tournament are completely subjective. They based the seeds on subjective criteria like strength of schedule.

I like the LCJ and Clarke two guard combo. It's worked before: McNees and Roberts and Bassett and Cooper. I think KD and Darryl and Steve on the floor together.

That's good news. 640am came on in my car, and they were winning. I wasn't hopeful they could hold on.

Speaking of a good product, this certainly takes our minds off the MAC tournament for a few days.

Well, OU has a thread brilliantly titled "Anyone notice BG and Akron lost last night?" Like, how do you answer that?

Hopefully, they will look to Van Horn to take over the department. He knows the donors, the fanbase, the community, and certainly knows what changes need to be made. He would be a solid choice.

The Horizon League tournament is rather nuts. Wright State lost and the #1 seed Vikings went to 3 OTs. Torrey scored 30 points. Horizon league gave every team a chance with the final 4 bubbling in Indianapolis and the winner likely staying there.

So Friday if Akron wins over Miami, they are set as a 3rd seed and will play BG on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kent and Buffalo will be playing for the #2 seed. Then there is Ohio's alleged COVID situation.

A fake Marreon Jackson out or a real Jayden Sayles out?

Akron has had a tougher schedule. They talk about Buffalo winning 7 of their last 8. They lost Toledo by 10 and then beat EMU and NIU before handily beating Ohio and beating Zips by 2 with what could say was a 2nd half collapse by the Bulls. Buffalo and Ohio both had a few weeks off here and there. Since 1/9th Zips have had one game postponed and 7 out of last 10 on the road. And Ball State's been sitting at home for a couple months? screw that. Let's get everyone on an equal playing field then start seeing what's up.

and CMU was playing without Broadway, their top scorer, AND without their point guard. Toledo was playing for outright. MAC. championship. Marreon was. out of control at the end, throwing up off balanced lay ups, getting a charging foul at the mid court line. CMU guy Huffman making some crazy 3 pointers and then fouling out. And CMU had lost 8 straight. It's March.

With Toledo losing and Zips making that 20 point come back and OU having COVID issues (allegedly) you just never know. I hope this long slog for the Zips and the adversity will carry them through next week.
