Arent there a # of reasons basketball plays like 30 games and football only 12. Risk of injury and level of life-changing injury is greater in football? Loading up 100 players, a staff of trainers, a marching band, and 20 cheerleaders and flying them around the country for 4 or 5 more games would be quite an undertaking.

Gino doesn't coach defense. I guess it's easier if you just tell your guys to run and shoot. In the past, they had some guys who could pound the 3 pointers and keep them in the game. They had the nation's top scorer a few years ago. That didn't get them very far. Zips need to keep banking those MAC wins while others sit at home. Zips won at CMU in their last meeting by 13 after being tied 51-51 with 12:44 remaining.

So PCCC @ Shalersville postponed another game. Hope the Zips travel safely over the holidays. They have a wonderful opportunity to bank some wins while Buffalo and Pinky are out of commission

we have the personal but dont have the experience playing too gether. it's just not this team In all seriousness the question is whether the defense is ready. In the Ohio game last March at the JAR the Zips were down by about 12 at half and then really locked down the defense in the 2nd and stopped Preston from penetrating the key. There's was one play near the end that caused the CBS announcers to extort that Akron looked like it have 7 men on the floor with their swarming defense. So we may have the shooters but im not convinced the defense is ready to take on some of these MAC teams.

As we all no, last years games with Athens State were intense with momentum swings. And ironically are last MAC game was supposed too be in Cleveland at the MAC tournament. The problem is I think they still have the same team and Zips are without for of there starters. So easy two determine how this will turn out
