I really liked how Groce called time out when we were 8 down. And I really like how the asst coaches are coaching That Cotton steal and Ivey lay up was beautiful. Couple of EMan blocks and Parrish also making a difference. Shooting over 60%

The number doesn't mean as much to me as the quality of the wins and when they occur. I think their fitness will help in the MAC tourney and a play in game might give them an extra spark going in to Cleveland.

As mentioned elsewhere, I really like Groce's use of timeouts. In previous years, it seemed like taking a time out was the equivalent of "giving in". Charlie Cole's was the master of using time outs and stifling any momentum an opposing team or player was developing. I like the time out when u are all of a sudden down by five rather than when it's 15. Saving them to the end wont help if the lead becomes insurmountable.

In the lower bowl, and I usually don't stand up during the t shirt toss. I count on a few every year just randomly landing at my feet. However, last night, as I was looking down at my phone, the cannon shot one directly into my chest. Was quite a surprise. Came about 6 inches from smacking me right in the face.

The Panda Plate Lady was the best.

1. What's everyone's take on the strength of our out of conference schedule so far? 2. I really enjoy watching this team. There's always action. It's just a completely different vibe than years past where there was always a predictable lull midway through either half. 3. I get a good laugh every time Groce screams at Parrish for not getting back down the court after he makes a big (or any) basket. 4. What impressed me tonight is that the Zips were able to make those defensive stops when things really got dicey. 5. I noticed the FT shooting start to tank at the end of the last home game (I think) when Utomi and possibly Cotton clanked a few as the game came to a close. It hasn't recovered. Sayles air balled one of his tonight. You didn't see him back on the court after that. 6. Lots of turnovers but that has to be a product of the fast pace. I would say 3 of them were after we stole the ball and then they stole it right back. 7. Ivey really impressed. 8. Macolm for all his missed FTs tonight does stuff our former guards never did. He drives right into the lane and is willing to get knocked to the floor. He just bulldozes in there. And Cotton making those 3s gives us another weapon. 9. Some of FWs 3s were DJ Cooper style. But Utomi's three pointers are a thing of beauty.

This sucks! Really.

Seriously? The way FW shoots 3s, our 49% FT shooting, and 17 turnovers tell me why.
