Go Iowa State! Huge win!

What a fun game to attend! As I sat there in the cold and rain, I doubted we would win. The few of us left at the end were on our cold feet. After the game I learned that I was sitting next to the father-in-law of the offensive line coach. (I had to think quickly to myself what's Milwee's job again?) Then I realized the OC is different from the OLC. Anyway, the funny part is that that father-in-law, himself a former coach, went ballistic when Woodson didn't take a knee on the second to last play. The targeting penalty occurred right in front of me, and it looked like our player slipped or unintentionally hit the Buffalo guy's head. However, I knew that flag was coming. Also, looked like we got a generous ball placement on that one pass for a first down which they reviewed. I don't remember another close, back and forth game like that at Infocision. Makes for a much better evening.

15-15, 20-10, 13-17...IDK what to expect and to me that's exciting.

Honestly, I didn't know what "dribble penetration" was until this board pointed out it was happening repeatedly and often last season.

Fourth in pre-season/first in Cleveland. I expect to see a team that gets back on defense, goes for steals even when we aren't behind by 15, and will attempt to stop dribble penetration. I also expect maybe a 15-15 team with some surprise wins rather than another 20+ win season with no marquee wins.

It's going to be a great year. Awesome coach, and I think we are going to have a lot of strong teamwork this year and real leadership on the floor.

Isn't this the point when someone notes that Kent is leading Ohio and that we are in the driver's seat in the MAC East? And that we were supposed to lose this game and are only two wins away from a berth in the Artichoke Bowl?

Who is this Milwee person? I watched the last few minutes, and I just thought we could have had a Stanford/Cal style disaster with all our players celebrating. The clock on the video feed kept jumping around so I couldn't tell how much time was really left. But what a great win on the road. I guess my answer to all this debate is that winning programs get some luck losing programs never do.

They are saying on the WMU blog that for that after the sack they should have just thrown for a TD instead of trying to get FG team on. I wasn't watching and since Frenchy was screaming those last few seconds are a blur. Anyone have a thought on that?

Listened to game driving back home. When I arrived home, sat in the driveway with motor running head on the steering wheel...listening to the last few minutes. Just amazed we won with defense.

I think had it been a basketball game we would all be very happy with WMU beating Buffalo 71-68 in overtime.

When I saw President Wilson walk around the sideline, I just got a sense that he has something really different in mind. He wants the students to have a fun game day experience. Send Bowden and Amato back to wherever they f'ing came from.
